Major Responsibilities:
• Support engineering staff, geologists, and the environmental department to facilitate Map production, GIS models, data management, Spatial Analysis and drafting.
• Provide mineral exploration data compilation, management and presentation services along with Remote Sensing imagery processing and map preparation.
• Actively support the exploration team with the preparation of digital maps, interpretational satellite imagery (Landsat, Ikonos, SRTM) and provision of staff training in data management and GIS software.
• Creating vector layers from scanned geological survey maps to keep records updated.
• Assign suitable coordinate systems and projections to various parts of the world in the preparation for the digital globe.
• Geo-referencing, editing and digitizing.
• Utilisation of latest ESRI products such as ArcGIS 10 (Desktop and Server) and ArcSDE.
• Effective team working and managing individual work load to meet deadlines.
Major Responsibilities:
• Provide complete enterprise solutions for editing, modelling, maintenance and management of Thames Water (Clean Water and Waste Water) asset information.
• GIS data collection, verification, cleansing, conversion and redistribution.
• CAD Design and AutoCAD drawing production.
• Management and storage of project geodatabases to ensure high standards of associated metadata and attribute information.
• GIS Spatial and Network analysis to support studies and engineering decision making.
• Importing and exporting of CAD data into ESRI’s formats and vice versa.
• GIS documentation and production of maps, plans and drawings.
• High quality map generation using Data Driven Pages in ArcMap.
• Applied Model Builder to create tools to automate routine tasks.
• Use of Field Calculator to calculate values using Python and VB scripts.
• Collation and processing of project data including survey data.
• Liaise with other members of a project team, customers and subcontractors to define GIS standards and manage geospatial data according to project requirements.
• Use of Ordinance Survey MasterMap data to locate particular assets and customer locations.
• Timely GIS support to emergency managers working in the field.
• Excellent understanding of data models through active participation in the creation of an Integrated Asset Repository for Thames Water.
Major Responsibilities:
• Digitizing of land parcels from Ordinance Survey’s MasterMap and Arial Photographs for the United Kingdom.
• Update information in the Rural Land Register (RLR) of the United Kingdom from National Database (NDB) and ground surveys whilst working under the supervision of the Rural Payment Agency (RPA), government department of Britain.
• Image classification and interpretation using analysis of available temporal data.
• Analyse Land Change Detection (LCD) through in-depth knowledge of satellite imagery.
• Develop database and update parcel attribute information.
• Spatial data management and analysis.
Major Responsibilities:
• Planning and development of Sustainable Land Use in various regions of the Punjab.
• Use of ESRI products to produce high quality maps from the field surveys.
• Creation of geodatabases using GIS tools and conducting analysis of these in ArcGIS.
• Field surveying to verify the locations of different geographic features using GPS.
• Perform spatial and statistical analysis on spatial data to measure changes in physical environment.
• Spatial data management using multiple ESRI products (ArcView, ArcGIS).
• Maintaining existing databases to correct and add vital information.
