Manage projects, prepare budgetary proposals & Implement Enterprise IT Network and Security solutions (MS Servers, Firewalls, IDS, VPN, Antivirus, Anti Spam and others) for corp Offices.
Audit & review technical requirements for proposed solutions by vendors & IT admin activities. Ensure they comply with the set standards in line with the organization policy. Ensure that the standards for infrastructure deployment are maintained across the Regional offices by following best practises such as BS7799 & ITIL.
Maximize the performance, capacity & availability of mission critical IT resources like Database, web servers, Routers, ISA, etc by ensuring that relevant redundancy, failover is present for the business to survive outages due to external factors like Internet / Telecom / Power Outages.
Monitor the implementation & changes to critical servers, network & security equipments.
Ensure that all IT security systems like antivirus are upgraded regularly to maintain a version supported by vendor.
Monitor daily reports regarding the availability & performance of various IT systems & escalate any faults to the vendor / IT Team.
Ensures that IT systems are backed up regularly & make changes in backup due to introduction existing / new systems.
Depending on the existing or new business requirements make changes to the network environment without compromising the security of the systems.
To ensure proactive maintenance on critical devices are carried out on a recurring schedule to eliminate possible incidents & minimize possible impact.
To liaise with internal teams & outstation IT coordinators to implement standards and processes in line with International standards such as BS7799 and ITIL.
To manage and utilize the available resources in an efficient and effective manner by ensuring that all departmental policies governing fault logging, rectification, and escalation procedures are properly met to achieve a consistently high level of service to the users.

ZAKATHOUSE, Kuwait (Jan 1999 - Jan ‘2005)
Assigned as a Systems Engineer In-charge of Design, planning, Deploying, securing and administration of Sun & Windows based network environment at the client location. I have been working closely with the IT Manager & Operations Manager of Zakat House & recommending solutions to improve the performance, reliability & security of the systems & network.

I was consulted in all Operational, Applications, Systems, and Network & security issues in the client’s organization.

DNATA Kuwait IT setup
Designed and implemented the complete IT infrastructure for the client’s services commencing in Kuwait including decision making for IT infrastructure requirements like Datacenter Layout, Power specifications for the Datacenter, Air Conditioning requirements for the Datacenter, Systems & Network Design & Security.

Implementing a Centralized Storage for Data using SAN for all the servers (Production, Development and Test) running Oracle 9i Databases and Portal.
Deployed Cluster Services on IBM Server with Microsoft File & print services & tested the deployment for failover of services.

Deployed Netscape Messaging & Directory Server on Solaris Platform as their corporate email Infrastructure. Installed & Configured Interscan Virus Wall for Netscape Messaging Server for protecting incoming
& outgoing emails to protect the network from email bound viruses.

Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research, Kuwait
Installed & Configured Interscan virus Wall from Trend Micro on mail server (Sun E3500) which uses sendmail, for Scanning of both incoming and outgoing mails for Viruses.
