PTCL is largest Fixed Telephony and Broadband services provider of Pakistan. It operates throughout Pakistan and is having more than 24 thousand full time employees. Results for FY 2011-12 are top line of more than Pak Rupees 60 billion and Bottom line of more than Pak Rupees 7 billion.
I am responsible for preparation of PTCL Corporate Budget. This includes designing Budget input forms and taking input from all the stakeholders within PTCL regarding their respective areas. Then consolidating this input, carrying out analysis on the input with respect to Actual results, already available drivers etc. Then preparation of projected Financial statements.
Later on, budget presentation is prepared which is presented before PTCL Board of Directors.
Slides showing detailed calculations including drivers behind the figures for almost all the P & L items are prepared.
I was also a team member from PTCL for implementation of Hyperion planning & Budgeting tool in PTCL.
Besides this I am responsible for analysis of any new business proposals impacting either PTCL Revenues or Operating Expenses with respect to their compatibility with the Company's Budget and profitability objective.
I also remained associated with the SAP Funds Management Module during its implementation in PTCL.

Islamic Relief was the largest and oldest International NGO working in AJK area, having eight offices across AJK and working on variety of projects including Livelihood, Health, Education, Orphans welfare, Cash for work, Social Mobilization, Reconstruction and Rehabilitation etc. These projects were funded by a variety of donors including UK based DFID, DEC, UN organizations and Government of Pakistan and also own funded projects.
I was leading Islamic Relief AJK area Finance team and was responsible for overall smooth functioning of the Finance departments. This assignment included Funds Management, Payment processing, Reporting, Reconciliation between all offices and Area office and between Area office and Country Office, Audit etc.
I was also member of Management Committee at Area Level comprising Area heads of all Functions, and Member of Area Procurement Committee.
Processing payments.
Financial reporting.
Dealing Tax/Audit matters.
Handling financial matters in respect of development of new products & services for various customer segments.
Identification of opportunities to enhance utilization of PTCL infrastructure.
Handling pricing & other financial aspects in respect of ongoing PTCL business partnerships.
Handling Budget related issues being Budget Coordinator of that department.
Got letter of appreciation from PTCL for contribution in commercial packaging of the PTCL Payphones
I was assigned responsibility for handling commercial issues in respect of PTCL business partnerships in different business segments including Payphones, Prepaid calling cards, DSL, VoIP, Outsourcing of Customer Services Centers
I was responsible for refinement and further processing of Audit points raised during filed audit and for different kind of management reports. As Assistant Audit officer I was responsible for administration of the office affairs including but not limited to maintenance of staff records, processing of payments etc.
