Haramin High Speed train project

(constructions & operation )



since start working in this project I have been working with different departments ( electrical, networking, safety, system and AFC )

1-In the electrical department my responsibilities are:

- operating the power supply control center System
- monitoring all the electrical equipments are functioning properly
-energizeing the catenary during the train operation-
- unendrgisin the catenary during the night and going with team
to do the preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance on
all the electrical equipments such as feed station and substations.

for your information I want to give quick overview electrical design
in this project.

The Haramain trains are working on high voltage for whole line form
Macce to Madinah. However the line has two tracks to reach both stations Macce and Madinah and the destination between thes two
stations is 440 kp.Between Macce and Madinah there huges 6 feeder
stations to feed the train by electricity comes from the Feedder
Stations. substations are located between each feeder station for the purpose of avoiding the voltage drop in the passenger trains.
Basically, this is the electrical design of this project.

It’s a huge project and I’ve experience so many things .

Electrical Engineer at INDRA COMPANY

I work as Electrical Engineer in the al Haramain Train Project. The train runs from Makkah to Madina by electrical power. There are six feeder stations between these cities. each feeder has two transformers and each one can feed one track but also we can feed both tracks by one transform. the power comes from SEC 385 KV the transformer stab it down to 27.5 KV for the catenary.
