Worked as Department Manager for several Saudi Aramco facilities. Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance and engineering fronts of mega Plants at Saudi Aramco. Manage staff of 400-650 employees. Set strategies that ensure maximum safety, availability and reliability of those facilities. Strive to achieve and sustain excellent performance in Gas Processing through the development of talent workforce and best in class EHS fronts. Create positive work and healthy environment and manage budget and optimize expenditure.
Lead a grass-root Gas Plant development ($4.5 Billion) as Operation Manager during Project Proposal phase. With 15 multi-Discipline engineers as direct reports, we have developed all fronts engineering for a 2.5 BSCFD of raw-gas processing facility. Develop all design requirement for equipment and piping layout, Electrical system, Instrumentation and DCS and all rotating equipment. During this critical phase I have lead several Value Engineering and design optimization studies along with Pre-HAZOP studies.
For four years I have worked as Operation Division Head at several Saudi Aramco Operating facilities. Oversee all operation and manage six operating units with 300-400 employees. Capitalizing on the extensive design and engineering experience, I have ensured safe and efficient operation of those facilities. Ensure compliance with procedures, safety practices and maximum plants availability and reliability. Implement several safety and maintenance initiatives to ensure smooth operation. Drives the construction of ongoing projects and ensure minimum impact of production.
Lead Multi-Discipline Engineering Units with more than seventy Engineers. The division provides all Engineering and Inspection support to Operation and Maintenance. Initiate major projects to address Plants capacity and reliability. Implement process improvement to achieve higher production with optimized cost. Develop goals and set KPIs that address different business aspects. Develop details Individual Development Plans for Engineering Supervisors and Engineers. Coordinate hiring activities and selection of new engineers.
Lead the Process Unit with more than tem Process Engineers to provide all Operational Support. Manage the day-to-day technical issues and the long term optimization studies. Ensure high level of partner satisfaction for Operation and Maintenance Divisions. Lead several continuous improvement projects in the Energy Optimization fronts. Develop several online monitoring programs to closely monitor the plants KPIs.
Worked as Sr. Process/Commissioning Engineer to manage the construction phase of one of Saudi Aramco major Gas Plant Development. Work closely with the EPC contractors to ensure quality and timely completion of the project. Coordinate all project team members including contractors, subcontractors, vendors and engineering professionals. Worked with Operations to develop the required start-up procedures to ensure safe commissioning and startup.
Worked as a Lead Process Design Engineer to develop the Detail Engineering phase for one of Saudi Aramco Mega Project ($ 950 MM). The design include Gas Treating, Sulfur, Utilities, CGT’s/Heat Recovery and Flare System. Heavily involved and lead several PHA’s and HAZOP studies. Developed details General Operating Instructions and start-up procedures.
