Conduct daily inspections and maintain electrical equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Enforce permit to work and isolation policy and procedures.

Execute periodic maintenance as per procedures documented in the computerized maintenance management system and collaborate with supervisor and other department heads to ensure planned and unplanned work are completed on time.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all power generation and distribution equipment, such as generators and engine controls, SCRs, switchgears, transformers, etc.

Assist in the maintenance and repair of general rig equipment, including HVAC systems, refrigeration plants, communication systems, lightning, etc.

Perform maintenance and repair on electrical components of Accommodation and Galley's electrical equipment, such as refrigeration and air conditioning systems, heaters, washing machines, dryers, etc., and drilling equipment, including Driller's Console, DC Drilling motors and auxiliaries, Top Drive systems, Drawworks, mud pumps, etc.

Generate reports such as log sheets/check sheets for the maintenance done.

Install new equipment as required, ensuring proper electrical wiring, fixtures, and junction boxes.

Conduct and interpret electrical schematics, power calculations, power factor assessments, insulation and positive relay tests.

Maintain an adequate supply of spares for maintenance needs and notify the Chief Electrician when reordering is necessary.

Notify the supervisor and other departments of any technical problems or limitations that could impact the rig's safe operation.

Support the implementation of outstanding recommendations from audits issued by clients, regulatory authorities, or the company.

Relay equipment problems or breakdowns information to the preventive maintenance or technical support department through the direct supervisor.

Actively participate in emergency drills and promptly respond to emergency situations as indicated on the station bill.
