• Primarily responsible for providing support to users on all hardware/software related issues. Additionally, perform all system administration tasks on Networks and related hardware/software
• Provide effective and timely support to users on I.T. related issues.
• Perform all system administration tasks on the Windows platforms including but not limited to User Definitions, granting access privileges, etc.
• Maintain and administer the LAN servers, workstations and peripherals.
• Software installation and maintenance over user workstations and LAN servers.
• Setup and maintain the web and messaging services.
• Apply all OS patches, upgrades and fixes in a controlled manner ensuring that respective services are not disrupted.
• Ensure corporate data integrity is safeguarded by obtaining the pertinent backups as per the corporate policy. Perform basic confidence tests by regularly restoring data to a back-up server to ensure effectiveness for recoverability.
• Continuously monitor system performance in terms of CPU, memory and disk space utilization. Advise the management of any bottlenecks and recommend effective ways of resolution
• Maintain the antivirus servers along with the security engineer and Run periodic spot checks on staff workstations to ensure that anti-virus S/W is always active and advise management of deviations, and ensure that no unauthorized S/W is residing on them and advise management of deviations
• Responsible for all activities related to the IT store.
• Ensure the job is performed by adhering to HSE standards applicable and is accountable to the same.
