As the project progresses and the workload is increased, the following responsibilities have been added:
• Reviewing and commenting on the Contractor's roof waterproofing shop drawings and ITP.
• Close-out reviews of commented ITPs.
• Controlling the quality and recoding the daily progress of the following activities:
o Firestop sealant around MEP penetrates.
o Public areas floor finish.
o Fire-rated permanent and removable partitions.
o Acoustic lining systems.
o Cladding supporting structure.
As the project progresses and the workload is increased, I continued my responsibilities as a Civil Engineer acting in a
more senior role managing the following:
• Reviewing and commenting on the Contractor's method statements for several civil works.
• Controlling the quality and recoding the daily progress of the following activities:
o The Station's reflective mirror canopy containing 600 tons of mild structural steel and 300 tons of stainless-
steel cladding with a total surface area of around 3600 m2.
o Roofs and water tanks liquid-applied waterproofing systems.
o Sewage lines.
o Floor insulation and finishing screed.
o Structural backfilling.
o Slabs on grade.
o Post anchoring works.
o Miscellaneous steel elements for MEP and finishing works.
• Managing 3 shifts of inspectors.
• Controlling the quality and recoding the daily progress of the following activities:
o Excavation, shoring, and anchoring.
o Injectable-compartment waterproofing systems.
o RCC works for 11 floors with a total built-up area of around 90, 000 m2.
o Fair-faced concrete walls and columns.
o Precast beams and hollow-core slabs.
o Composite floor decking.
o Fireproofing systems for structural steel using cementitious, intumescent, or calcium-silicate products.
• Coordinating with the architects and MEP engineers for the interface with civil works.
• Reporting safety violations, near misses, incidents, and accidents.
• Acting as the central point of contact between the Company's consultants and the Municipality's staff.
• Investigating and recording the common issues between the Municipality's projects.
• Participating in an intensive study to overcome the delays of a “pilot project” and performing a weekly follow-up.
• Preparing a risk register of selected Municipality's projects for analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Arranging meetings and preparing their agendas and minutes.
Lectures, site visits, and presentations about safety, quality, geotechnical investigations, traffic diversions, utilities
relocations, architectural design, construction, and others.
