1. Shift Controller, ADNOC Refining, ADNOC, UAE, (May 1998 - Mar 2023)
Responsibilities:
• Supervise, Lead and Manage the day to day activities, work of Shift teams in the Power Station, Water Desalination and Waste Management Plants ensuring they are executed in a safe, Reliable, Sustainable and efficient manner so that production targets and objectives are achieved and the operational plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.
• Plan, organize and control an adequate monitoring and operation of Power, Water, Utilities and Oil & Gas Waste Management Plants with its subordinates, applying knowledge, policies and procedures that ensures the capacity and availability of the plants to the client's requirements as per Agreement.
• Organize and plan the activities in such a way that work is carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to personnel, Communities, Environment and Assets.
• Coordinate, Supervise and Lead all Electrical Network Operation activities “Commissioning, Operating, Testing and Troubleshooting” of Low, Medium & High Voltage Switchgears up to 400KV.
• Responsible for the communication with all parties involved with the export of Power, water, and all other Utilities to the off-taker and act as main contact person during the shift.
• Adhere to all relevant organizations, departmental policies, processes, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Management System, Risk Assessment, HSE “Policy, Rules & Regulations” and Instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner, to ensure Safe Operations, Business Continuity with no harm to People, Communities, Environment and Assets.
• Preparing Standard Operating Procedures, Performance Improvement, Performance Test and Emergency Handling Procedures.
• Troubleshooting, Problem solving and Suggesting Quality Improvement Proposals to Improve Plant’s Performance, Stability, Reliability and Resolve any Chronic issues.
• Coordinate, Supervise and Manage the diversified and critical activities during normal and any abnormal operational situation, assessing information and providing command to personnel and equipment to ensure People, Communities, Environment and Assets safety as well as minimum impact on plant's deliveries.
• Ensure that all accidents, incidents or near misses occurring during the shift are properly reported as per established procedures.
• Plan, Coordinate & Supervise Operation & Maintenance activities in Major Plant Shutdowns & Turnarounds.
• Preparing Daily & Monthly Operational and HSE reports.
• Take full responsibility “Acting Vice President - Plant Operations” of the operating areas during (Off hours: Night Shifts, Weekends & Public Holidays) and authorized to sign the important documents like HSE Critical Reports.
• Performing On-Scene Commander activities during emergencies and activate Incident Management Team whenever required.
• Preparing, Performing & Supervising On Job Training, Cross Training, Desktop Simulation Exercises, Fire Drills and Sharing Lessons Learning activities for all Operation Teams.
• Ensure that all production plans are achieved by implementing all process operations as per work instructions and quality plan.
• Plan, Supervise and follow-up Preventive, Corrective and Predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain day-to-day interaction with all consumers at equal level to discuss and resolve various operating matters.

2. Shift Engineer, Ministry of Electricity & Water, UAE (Aug 1993 - Apr 1998)
Responsibilities:
• The same responsibilities as the Shift Controller except for the responsibilities of operating Water Desalination plants and Oil & Gas Waste Management Plants.

3. Shift Engineer, Ministry of Electricity & Renewable Energy, Egypt (Mar 1990 - Aug 1993)
Responsibilities:
• Same as in item no. 3.

4. Workshop Mechanical Engineer (Ministry of Defense, Egypt from Oct 1997 to Mar 1990)

5-Years extensive experience as “Shift Engineer / Operation Engineer” at Ajman Power Station, UAE, in the field of Commissioning, Operating, Testing, and Troubleshooting of (Gas Turbines, Diesel Generators, Electrical Network “Power Generation Control, Transmission & Distribution of LV, MV & HV SWGRs up to 132KV” and their Auxiliaries), with DCS & SCADA Control Systems.

Ajman Power Station “Shift Engineer / Operations Engineer" Responsibilities:
1. Leading Shift teams for Safe, Reliable and Sustainable Operations.
2. Taking full responsibility of the operating areas during “Off hours / Out of normal working hours” (i.e. during Night Shift, Weekend & public holidays) and authorized to sign the important documents like HSE Critical documents, reports, Man & Material Entry/Exit Gate Passes.
3. Coordinate with Operation & Maintenance Managers, Team Leaders and support sections on any critical issues.
4. Report to Senior Management of concerned divisions the status of all operating plants, Process Safety, HSE & Non-HSE daily concerns.
5. Coordinated with concerned operation team leaders to provide work direction of shift teams (Supervisors, Senior Operators & L/Operators) towards the safe, efficient, stabile operation as well as planned maintenance activities.
6. Coordinate, Supervise and lead Electrical Network Operation activities (Commissioning, Control, Switching, Testing and Troubleshooting) of “LV, MV & HV SWGRs up to 132 KV with SCADA Control System.

• Electrical Network “Power Generation Control, Transmission and Distribution of LV, MV & HVWGRs up to 220KV”.
• Fuel Gas, Diesel Fuel, Instrument Air, Service Air, Secondary Cooling Water systems, Water Treatment Plant, Distillate water, Demineralized Water, Potable water, Fire water, Sea Water Intake & Chlorination plant distribution systems and Fir, Gas detection & Firefighting systems.
