Participate and lead the DB team to achieve SLA, gain the customer satisfaction preventing any penalties.
As a Senior Apps DBA I am responsible to lead the DBA team in the projects under me to maintain DBs functionality with high performance and to solve any issues immediately.
I am also responsible to support the Project Management team providing them valuable insights to the customers environments and possible future opportunities or leads.
In addition, I participate in the initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing of projects along with the rest of the project management team.
- Designing and implementing Oracle database backup/recovery plan using RMAN and Cold data files backups.
- Patching, cloning, maintaining backups, managing archives, administering ERP systems and other regular operational activities.
- Creating and managing Service requests with Oracle Corp. when needed
- Following Oracle Corp. best practices and making sure all security patches are tested and applied as soon as they are released.
- Cloning ERP to multiple instances according to Client’s needs for development and testing activities.
- Maintaining Oracle Apps using “AD” utilities.
- Exporting & Importing data from and to Oracle Database using DataPump, Export/Import, APIs, FNDLOADER and Dataloader.
- Coordinating with functional consultants enforcing security measurements according to Client’s requirements.
- Monitoring and maintaining oracle database issuing periodic reports confirming no performance or security issues occurs.
- Working with Other team members and building lifelong relationships with all projects stakeholders in order to coordinate efforts and achieve the SLA and the clients’ expectations.
As Oracle Apps DBA
>> Successfully upgraded legacy 11i Oracle EBS instance to 12.2.5 in 2015; the process included a DB upgrade to 11gR2 then upgrading the app and following oracle best practices to ensure minimum downtime (about 9 hours)
>> Minimized ERP upgrade footprint on business continuity by shifting users who only need reporting from the ERP to Oracle BI which also reduced Oracle Support annual renewal cost from about $80000 to just over $20000
>> Introduced VM Technology to the company minimizing the cost of buying new servers by 50% and enhanced high system availability, data security and backups integrity
>> Carried out gamut of operations on Oracle products instances (DBMS, EBS, OBIEE) for 3 different subsidiaries companies; serving a sum of more than 1500 users, pertaining to Patching, cloning, taking backups, managing archives, administrating and other regular maintenance activities
>> Installing, configuring, upgrading, administrating, cloning, patching and backup/restore

>> Coordinating directly with EBS functional specialists and business users for understanding functional requirements to produce highly effective and satisfying ERP experience for the users.
>> Designing, configuring and coding SQL and PL/SQL, creating ERP reports, Oracle BI reports, customization, APIs, workflow, and supporting multi-organization environment in Oracle ERP as needed to support client business functions
>> Supporting functional teams working on different EBS modules like (GL, Payables, Inventory, OEM, Payroll, HRMS, Projects, …)
As Oracle Database Administrator
>> Significantly utilized VM technology, Dataguard and Oracle RAC and increased average of weekly uptime for all of live databases from 147/168 hours per week in 2013 to 167.5/168 hours per week at the end of 2014
