• Witness inspections and checking for all mechanical (Firefighting, HVAC and Plumbing) construction works in progress to ensure compliance of materials and workmanship with design drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining the quality of work by visually monitoring the construction activities daily and addressing to the construction team if there is any lack of quality during construction
• Doing routine site surveillances to ensure the activities are being carried out as per the project specifications, Client’s standards, best practices.
• Monitoring of compliance with specified procedures and general good practice in relation to the mechanical site safety
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, Non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.
• Review and approval of quality documents such as ITP, checklist, Method of statement related to activities
• Review and approval of Material submittal as per project specifications and ensure in compliance with local and international standards and codes
• Report to the QA/QC manager, control and monitor all activities related to quality management system, QMS.
• Coordinate with the contractor’s in charge of the work on a daily basis to advice on the proper execution of the work.
• Ensuring the sequence of activities are being followed as per approved ITP
• Coordinate with the other disciplines inspectors and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work.
• Active involvement in weekly quality meetings with the contractor’s QC & managers to resolve the site related issues and avoid discrepancies.
• Snagging and preparation of punch lists of items for corrective action following completion of mechanical construction in preparation of project completion
•Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site related to plumbing and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan ITP.
• Preparing relevant documents to conduct inspection for completed installation activities and raise RFI to QC-Inspector (To ensure that any activity offered for inspection has an attachment of IFC drawing, method statement (if required), Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) followed by check list)
• Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and site In-charge for inspection and meetings about quality problems including the closure of Non-compliance report.
• Report to the QA/QC manager, control and monitor all activities related to quality management system, QMS.
• Taking care of QA/QC documents of the project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, Non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents. Responsible for the closure of Non-conformance, NCR and site instruction, SI.
• Maintaining the quality of work by visually monitoring the construction activities daily and addressing to the construction team if there is any lack of quality during construction to avoid violations and log book entries.
• Following the inspections as per checklist prior to raising inspection request IR.
• Arrange the sufficient manpower such as Supervisor, Foreman, pipe fitter, Assistant duct and pipe fitter etc.., and ensure all of them attended safety orientation and having proper PPE’s prior start installation activities at site
• Closely monitor site activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with approved shop drawing and Specification and get daily progress report from site supervisor (or) foreman and update to project Engineer (or) Manager
• Active involvement in weekly meetings with the Project management & QC Supervisor and manager to resolve the site related issues.
• Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non-conformance reports
(NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
• Inspect piping just before erection to verify that interior is clear of foreign materials. Check edge
preparation and fit-up to verify that areas to be welded are free of contaminates and that fit-up is
within tolerance.
• Check flow direction arrows on valves; verify that the properly identified valves are installed in accordance with the flow diagram. Ensure that pipe support hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the piping drawings and the pipe support details.
• Preparation of test packages prior to Hydro test / Pressure testing of pipes.
• Check and assure that all joints exposed for examination during pressure test. Check vents are open when filling and draining lines
• Witness final pressure test, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial range and is calibrated verify that the required test pressure was maintained for the specified length of time with no acceptable leakage

• Inspection of duct leakage test done by passing the light or smoke in the ducts referred as smoke test or light test.
• Inspection of receiving & installation of Metal Duct and Stainless-Steel Duct as per SMACNA, UMC & ASHRAE standards.
• Receiving and Installation inspection of Ducts & its accessories which includes Plenum box, volume control damper (VCD), fire smoke damper (FD), AHU’S, FCU'S, Exhaust fans (EF), Air Curtain Units (ACU'S), CRAC Units as per the approved IFC
• Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan
• Following the approved shop drawings during installation of mechanical piping an ducting system
• Following SMACNA, NFPA & IPC Plumbing codes for all the installation related to mechanical work
• Preparing Bill of Materials and Bill of Quantities( Firefighting, HVAC & Plumbing)
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines in close coordination with the Foremen
• Installation of Chilled Water supply & Domestic Water Supply Pumps
• Responsible for complete installation of firefighting, HVAC and plumbing equipment
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and closely monitoring the site labor force, plant & equipment and works of any subcontractors
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise.
• Performing minor changes in the installation as per site condition & practical scenario
• Having knowledge of Chilled water, AHU’s and piping systems.
• Preparing the As built drawings.
