As a Principal project development & control engineer, I’m responsible for :
• Leading a fast tracked program (Value of 40 $m) for 2023 TA major projects to be implemented in 2023 Turnaround on short period (16 months). 18 projects with multi-disciplinary scope to close EHSS, RCA, Revenue opportunity items and catch the complex shutdown window. Main scope items was relate to the installation of new oil/water separator with all associated equipment’s such as pumps, instrumentations and electrical systems. (Largest in SABIC) utilizing the micro piles civil technology to implement the structure. In addition, the program scope included many columns internals modifications, critical instruments installations and upgrading process systems to improve the plant’s operations (Olefins & U&O).
• Leading the execution of all YANSAB Instrumentation & Control related projects (Value of 25 $m). The scope includes cyber security improvement to meet the government and SABIC maturity target, enhance the physical security to cover HCIS requirements, replace obsolete control systems and upgrade complex metering system to meet Royal commission custody metering requirements.
• Aligning with all YANSAB engineering disciplines and operation departments to screen and select the 5 years capital projects using selection category and project priority based on SABIC CAPEX handling standard.
• Working with the related technical and the cost engineers to properly estimate the approved projects and conduct the business case based on the production impact, EHSS matrix, and Maintain business risk factor.
• Working with SABIC organization (CRC) to submit the CAPEX plan and categorize the project based on the financial criteria.
• Developing and oversee the implementation of Project Control procedures to cover Planning/Scheduling, Cost Management, Risk Management, Progress Reporting and Web-based Project Management Information Systems (PMIS).
• Developed main project tracking dashboard where the projects development phases are tracked and the management can automatically monitor the progress in all phases (Initiation, FEED, Detailed engineering, procurement, construction and financial closure).

• Managing the long lead material procurement.
• Managing the execution contracts procurements (SFC, MFC, LFC, and DC PR).
• Managing the electrical systems upgrade projects.
• Managing the Control Systems Upgrade.
• Managing the capital projects related to the turnaround period.
