Detailed design & engineering of Electrical & MEP system.
Design & finalize lighting, power, fire Alarm, ELV, Riser schematics, MEP coordination layout etc.
Review and approve contractor’s technical submittals.
Developing DB schedules, ELV & LV Schematics (SLD) as per project requirements.
Substation & LV Room Designing; Transformers, LV Panels & Generator selection.
Preparation of Technical Specifications for Electrical & MEP construction works.
Review & approval of Shop drawings for Electrical & MEP works.
Illumination Calculation & selection of Luminaries with IP rate settings.
Complying with DEWA regulations & Green Building regulations.
Liaising with Local authorities (DM, DEWA, DCD) for getting Design NOC.
Coordination meetings with other services Engineers before construction starts.
Doing Site Inspection in Weekly basis and preparing snag lists.
Approving the Testing & Commissioning of all electrical LV & MV equipments, panels & cables at site.
Attending Construction meetings with Client & Contractors, clearing the technical issues.
Coordinating & checking all site MEP activities including infrastructure works & reporting to Project Manager.
Preparing Monthly reports, MOMs, Feasibility Study reports, Lessons learned reports.
Review & approving the O & M manuals, Warranty certificates, Test reports & service reports.
Reviewing and approving the As-built drawings.

As part of commissioning various projects in Oman, below find my responsibilities but not limited to;
Detail engineering of electrical system.
Preparing Lighting layout, Small power layout, Fire Alarm Layout, ELV layout, Cable tray layout etc.
Preparation of Material Requisition, Electrical Equipment list & tables.
Preparation and verification of subcontracting documents for electrical construction work.
Designing DB schedules & SLD as per load requirements.
Electrical Equipment review & control logic diagrams.
Preparing drawing & Coordinating Fire Alarm system & TV/ Telephone system & supervising works.
Design, Coordination & Supervision of BMS - Access Control / Public Address/ WiFi / Camera etc.
Coordinating & checking all MEP activities including external works & reporting to Project Manager.
Preparing specifications and datasheets as per requirement.
Prepare & verify Method statements, Compliance statements in accordance with IEC standards.
Check at site all fittings (switch & sockets, lights, fire alarm) to comply with standards.
Follow up and close out of technical comments raised by Client.
Transformer sizing & selection / Panel designing & selection.
Substation works - from Design phase to Testing & Commissioning.
Illumination Calculation & selection of Luminaries with required IP ratings.
MCC / VFD panels, Battery/ UPS system, DG sizing & selection as per requirement.
HV & LV Cable sizing / Cable length calculations / cable routing layouts.
Checking & supervising Cable Tray & Trunking works, Cable trench/ Cable laying at site.
Preparation of Grounding & Lightning protection Layout and commissioning.
Full coordination & supervision over the works as per Safety standards & approved Method statement.
Attends weekly engineering meetings and other Construction meetings.
Maintaining long relationship with Client & Consultants and clearing technical clarifications.
Developing Electrical Schedule / Progress List in accordance with Project Schedule.
Prepare & check the BOQ / MTO of Electrical deliverables.

As part of supporting Senior Electrical Engineers, I was committed to,
Basic & Detail engineering of electrical system.
Reviewing engineering documents from subcontractors.
Performing Site Survey to verify and confirm Electrical scope of work.
Prepare and verify drawings (Power, Lighting, PAGA), data sheets, lists and tables.
Preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), project Specifications.
Preparation of Datasheets & Material Requisitions.
Preparation of Individual Design Plan for Electrical Team.
Preparing Load Calculations, Cable sizing Calculations, Cable Schedules.
Panel designing & selection; Preparing Panel Schedule.
Electrical Equipment review; control logic diagrams.
Review of Substation Equipment Layout / Transformer sizing.
Joining site queries and coordinating with other engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Civil, Instrument, and Process.
Cable routing Layouts & Earthing Layout.
Involved in Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) process.
As a part of the Electrical team, I was involved in following activities;
Preparing the outdoor and indoor lighting layouts for proposed buildings
Calculating the luminous flux using DIALux.
Designing Lighting & power layout, ELV layout, Fire Alarm layout.
DB schedule / schematic preparation.
Drawing the single line diagram and doing the Electrical Load calculations.
Preparation of Specifications and Data sheets of electrical equipments and installations.
Preparing the LT & HT schematics according to prepared lighting layouts.
Site visit of proposed building & arranging meeting with Architects to cover clarifications.
Design calculations such as transformer sizing calculation, DG sizing calculation.
Prepare Cable Schedule & Cable sizing calculation.
Cable Tray works/ Trunking works / Cable trench/ Cable laying -Monitoring
Drawing the Earthing and Lightning layouts.
Prepare & Review MEP Coordination drawing for proposed buildings.
Preparing the Schedule of Quantity (BOQ) as requested.

Direct Cost Estimation (Estimate of quantity and rates) and Preparation of final Tender documents.
