• Managing and Controlling Infrastructure delivery: - Putting in place the required functions to ensure a quality service from Infrastructure.

" Responsible for Bharti-Airtel Nigeria Data Centre Infrastructure Operations and Facilities Management
" Provide prompt and efficient technical support for all Data Center environmental systems
" Responsible for 3rd level support and escalation (if the need arises) of Power and cooling systems.
" Responsible for escalation to Airtel IT Management through Local IBM Senior Management (if the need arises) of Power and cooling systems related issues.
" Review and Approve for all Data Center Change request, Routine preventive maintenance and new installation of any devices/equipment/server/storage/switches et.c in the Airtel Data Center.
" Review and Provide Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Infrastructure KPI reports for Airtel review.
" Support the Airtel IT Management in the design a secure and resilient IT infrastructure that meets all the current and anticipated future requirements of the business.
" Support the Airtel IT Management with the coordination of all Infrastructure plans and strategies, Produce and maintain all Infrastructure design, architectural, policy and specification documentation
" Research and keep current with systems operations trends, Develop concepts and principles and outline for integral systems operations and assist with requirements/needs of stakeholders during system development.
" Support the Airtel IT Management in developing and documenting infrastructure designs that support the business with special regard to Data centers, productivity Tools, Servers, Network, Storage, Intranet/Web, and Database.
" Support IT Solution implementation and perform QA such that infrastructure is configured effectively
As the Infrastructure Architect, I supports the Technical Architect in collaborating with users, sponsors, and all other stakeholders to:
" Design a secure and resilient IT infrastructure that meets all the current and anticipated future requirements of the organization
" Concerned with the coordination of all Infrastructure plans and strategies, Produce and maintain all Infrastructure design, architectural, policy and specification documentation
" Coordinate measure and review the implementation progress of all Infrastructure strategies and plans and critically examine designs to be implemented and advise correct poorly designed solutions and ensure they work.
" Take ownership of design consistency within the department, set IT strategies on systems design and implementation and Support the development of strategies, framework and patterns for solutions architecture.
" Research and keep current with systems design trends, Develop concepts and principles and outline for integral systems design and Translate requirements/needs of stakeholders into a system.
" Provide vision and technology roadmap for the unit, Provide context for development activities to be carried out by other specialist teams and Balance conflicting requirements that are sometimes given by users.
" Communicate technical constraints and decisions to the business, Talk to the business to understand business and technical requirements ensure compliance with architecture directions and standards and Review and approve designs, standards and processes.
