Responsible for all activities of the projects commencing from tendering stage to execution, handover and completion of maintenance period with regards to safety, quality, time and cost.
Supervision of underwater cone penetration test to determine the founding level for quay wall. Ensuring that the hold points & witness points are checked by the consultant’s, contractor and subcontractor’s staff. Carrying out and supervision of all field-engineering activities. Assisting coordination of tug operations related to transport, unloading of concrete block barges, backfill barges and other operational activities,
Work involves supervision of the inspection regime using a team of qualified personnel. Review and assess the Contractor’s material submissions, method statements, request for clarification, Shop drawings, calculations for temporary structures, Monitoring the progress of works, Liaison with the design office for necessary clarifications. Organise and attend all meetings, Liaison with local authorities to satisfy their requirements, technical proposals of the design based on site related changes preparation of specifications and drawings in relation to the changes proposed and agreed between the Client and local authorities
Assisting the field engineer in providing solutions with respect to engineering document conflicts, responding to the technical queries from subcontractors, set up the quality control system with forms and standard documents, record deviations from specifications through issue of NCR’s during design phase and assisting the Civil Superintendent on the execution of works using the various subcontractors.
Evaluation of method statements, working drawings and material proposals. Set up and maintain the required QA/ QC system. Acceptance of workmanship and assessment of interim payment application. Handing over to client the as built drawings and project documentation.
Responsibilities involved preparation of drawings with the design team in consultation and coordination with utility authorities following the appropriate procedures of Road works Design manual. Participate in tender documents preparations with the QS Dept. Arrange and conduct services meetings, progress meeting to supervise and streamline the Contractor activities to the required safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities involved liaising with the utilities authorities to resolve all conflicts with existing services, necessary alignment changes to accommodate the late changes. Prepare and obtain approval of traffic management plan during works. Lead a time of work force to execute the works in compliance with the quality and safety standards using the company resources. Maintain all quality records such as Material approvals, method statements, ITP and obtain approval of as built drawings.
Responsible for ensuring the pile casting, pile driving, cast-in-situ piling and pile caps were carried out by the Contractor according to the specifications and drawing. Liaison with quality control divisions for quality, liaison with surveyors for dimensional/control, liaison with Q.S. for payment purposes and close monitoring of the progress of works.
The work was to define structural elements from the Architectural drawings carry out and obtain approvals for all design calculation in reference to the corresponding charts and tables with the Senior Structural Engineer, prepare and correct structural drawings made by the draftsman. Apart from the routine design work frequent site visits were required in order to clarify the queries of the other clients carrying out various small house project
