Fairmont Ramla Serviced Residencies Project.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordination with the Project manager for preparation of project quality plan (PQP) and ITP (Inspection & Test Plan).
• Generating and Review of QA/QC plan & procedures in order to implement them at the project site.
• Review of Drawings Prior to Submittal to Client.
• Preparation of submittals (material & document) for approval of the consultant.
• Preparation & submission of all inspection requests (RFI’s).
• Develop and maintain a schedule surveillance QC, to determine the status of inspection
Activities and serve as a focal point for inspection requests.
• Develop and Maintain the Material Schedule for Delivery, Fabrication and Material Characteristics and Material usage and Approval Records
• Review of contract & project specifications staring to project requirements.
• Thoroughly review ASTM, ACI, and RMS (Riyadh metro Standard.).
• Plan to implement quality standards.
• Alerts the Construction Manager if works are made with unapproved construction documents or material.
• Toolbox talks with construction team for awareness of approved documents & materials.
• Explains to the construction team the non-conformance and corrective action form.
• Alerts the construction team / in charge of the works and acknowledge to QA/QC Manager if any critical inspection is not respected, or in case of any deviation from the requirements.
• Submission of daily/weekly QA/QC reports to the consultant and client.
• Preparation of audit from the client for all quality procedures and documents.
• Checks randomly that the QA/QC document controller files the hard copies and soft copies with the nature of the document and the activity.
• Performing Audits of sub-contractors, internal departments & material suppliers to govern the quality.
• Initiating factory inspection & assisting vendor selection.
• To initiate NCR for any violation & non-conformance noted by execution team w.r.t Project specification & approved drawing requirement.
• To perform training of our internal team for better understanding and implementation of the quality system.
• To prepare Monthly Quality report for submission to project management.
FIELD INSPECTIONS:
• Performed Inspection of executed work with full confidence and ensure to avoid any Deviation found to augment the quality.
• Performed Inspection of Spacer, River clack and Flashing according to the drawings and specifications.
• To inspect the Architectural works like Thermal Insulation, Rockwool Installation, and Water Leakage tests.
• Inspection and witnessing of tests such as Water Leakage Test, MEP, Louvers Installation, Poly Carbonate Installation, and Skylight Installation.
• Coordinate with 3rd party lab for all kind of test at site and witness of all Material test performed
• Performed material inspection and preservation as per material data sheet and specifications.
• Inspection of structural Openings, Steel Alignment, Concrete Alignment, and Architectural works.
• Inspecting the work progress and making daily progress reports.
• Issue of violation report / NCR if found any deviation
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
A massive four Tower Head Quarter Building complex of Saudi Electricity Company (SECO) with a budget of 1.3 million USD, from which the entire Electric Power need of the Kingdom shall be controlled.
My responsibilities includes:
•Setting out the works in accordance with the drawings and specification.
•Liaising with the project planning engineer regarding construction programs.
•Checking materials and work in progress for compliance with the specified requirements
•Observance of safety requirements.
•Resolving technical issues with employer’s representatives, suppliers and statutory authorities.
•Quality control in accordance with procedures method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans, all prepared by the project management team and by contractors.
•Liaising with company or project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements.
•Supervising and counseling junior or trainee engineers.
•Measurement and valuation.
•Providing data in respect of variation orders and site instructions.
•Preparing record drawings, technical reports, site diary
•Job review of subordinate staff.
•Preparing invoice proportionally to the progress of the work.
•Estimating of the cost with respect towards the completion of the project.
•Calculating the quantities for the Civil and Structural works..
Report to Senior Civil
Assist the Senior Civil Engineer in reviewing Civil design drawings, shop drawings, co-ordination drawings, submittals & method of statements as per the local authority requirements and approval.
Quality controlling of materials delivered to site as per the approved submittal and supplier.
Carry out regular site visits.
Inspect and supervise the works in accordance with spec/drawings and statutory regulations.
Inspection of the work completed on site as per ITP.
Maintain record of Inspection requests.
Take photos of construction activities /progress and maintain a hard and soft copy of photographs.
Check/ watch any unapproved/ unauthorized works on site and notify.
Monitoring the project during execution for Civil services with respect to MEP and ensures the proper execution..
Record changes on site and review as-built drawings/ submissions.
Review weekly & monthly progress reports.
Review contractor’s payment claims as per the progress on site and BOQ.
Knowledge of MEP works and other Building services.
Effective monitoring of safety regulations and practice for the project.
