Job Description
A. Primary Responsibilities
 Team Leader for functioning of Central Procurement dept. & Central Store dept.
 Prepare Project Procurement Plan in collaboration with Project Teams & update as per changing circumstances.
 Techno-commercial evaluations of Proposals & Quotations, in coordination with technical team.
 Review of POs & Comparison Statements, prior to Management Approval.
 Evaluation of Supplier / Subcontractor capability, prior to placing of Major Orders.
 Coordination with QS dept. to meet ACE (Accepted Cost Estimate), Budget, Prime Cost & Variations.
 Mitigate disputes, if any with the Suppliers and Subcontractors.
 Identify opportunities for savings, based on fluctuating market prices of certain items.
 Develop & implement procurement strategies that link to core business deliverables.
 Work distribution & rotation among team members, based on quantum of work.
 Identify areas to reduce overall time taken from Material Requests to POs to Payments.
 Optimize Just-in-Time delivery system at Central Store.
 Maximize Credit period with existing pool of Suppliers.
 Identify new Suppliers constantly, and keep increasing the pool of Suppliers.
 Liaise with Accounts dept. on Bank Guarantee, Security Cheque & Performance Bonds.
 Liaise with Freight Forwarders & Clearing Agents.
 Review of Storage & Inventory systems.
 Constant review of Stock list to identify & reduce excess / unnecessary quantities.
 Management of Surplus Material, Surplus Capital Equipment & Scrap Disposal.

B. Marketing & Other Activities
 Participation in Business Development Meetings with Director & Senior Management.
 Marketing activities for Buildings, Structural Steel, Joinery & Aluminium Division.
 Presentation of Company Profile to potential Clients & Consultants in Pre-Qualification meetings.
 Upgradation of Company Website, Profile & Brochure.
 Identifying & Interview of Candidates for Procurement, Store, QS, Plant & Logistics, Business Development & Marketing, HR and Accounts depts., including Managerial levels.
 Occasional involvement in Estimation & Payment Follow ups for Structural Steel, Joinery & Aluminium Division.

 Highlight delays related to critical items & workout recovery plan to avoid impact on overall project schedule.
 Visits to Fabrication Vendor Workshops for Evaluation & Development.
 Updating QMS procedures for Procurement by Central Cell and the Project Team, in line with the restructuring of functioning within the IC (Organization).
 Development & Implementation of SST (Supply Schedule Tracker) Module, an IT enablement for tracking status of materials from Purchase Request (PR) to Delivery stage.
