Managing water projects and center activities, writing research proposals, finalize projects budgets, and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing culture.
Manage a project in coordination with Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD) that aims at rehabilitating unused groundwater well fields in the Eastern and Western Regions of Abu Dhabi and liaise with client and sub-contractors to manage activities.
Utilize different imageries to generate data, carry scientific research, and provide scientific insight on water resources and agricultural water use, and climate change impact on natural resources in the Arab World. GRACE, MODIS and Landsat datasets, provided by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and global datasets are used to develop regional scientific and technical capabilities to generate data on surface and groundwater resources, water flows, agriculture, climate, land use, crop type, evapotranspiration, and the impact of environmental and economic change on water resources in the region. This position also includes planning workshops and participating at scientific conferences that deals with space science and water management.
• Develop a Geographical Information System
• Carry research on water resources in Palestine and shared water in the region
• Develop a water information database and maps
• Provide technical support to the Negotiations Support Unit on permanent status issues: borders, Jerusalem, settlements, and water
• Provide geographic data collection and produce maps of all scales
• Perform image classifications
• Generate and update the basemaps of Palestine
