Erection and Commissioning:
⦁ Involved in Erection, Pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of polymer plants such as PP, LLDPE, HDPE, and Product Handling Unit.
⦁ Review/Verification of the IFC drawings, detail Engineering design document, and vendor packages as per the SABIC Eng Standard.
⦁ Conducting site inspections to ensure that all instrumentation & Control Works executed by the Project Instrument team / Subcontractors are per schedule and as per required Quality safely.
⦁ Participating in the commissioning process by witnessing key commissioning activities, including loop checks, functional testing, and performance evaluations.
⦁ Attending Site Acceptance Tests as required and raising QIR for any deviation
⦁ Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to instrument calibration, signal processing, and communication protocols.
⦁ Ensuring all commissioning data, documentation and handovers are in accordance with Completions process and project procedures.
⦁ Participating hazard assessments such as JSA, PHA, PSSR to ensure compliance with stringent safety standards and regulations.
Engineering Services:
⦁ Reviewing/Preparing Instrument Datasheet, Instrument Index, IO List, Panel and JB drawing, Conduit/Tray/Cable schedules, Instrumentation & Controls drawings, Pneumatic Hook up, Cause and Effect diagram, Bill of materials, Material requisition and Bid Evaluation.
⦁ Instrument Selection/Design Calculation for pressure, flow, temp and level.
⦁ Control Valve Sizing Calculation and Selection
⦁ Participation in hazard assessments such as HAZAOP
⦁ Familiar with applicable SABIC Engineering Std, ISA, IEC, API, FCI, ASME etc.
⦁ Act as a subject matter expert in Instrumentation and contribute to the troubleshooting activities.
Reliability:
⦁ Developing the periodical preventive maintenance for a reliable plant operation.
⦁ Conducting technical investigation for any Instrument system failure and recommending the solution.
⦁ Participating in reliability programs such as RCM, RIS, ACA, RCA etc.
⦁ Performing PM Optimization
⦁ Identifying areas of improvement and recommending and implementing modifications.
⦁ Contributing to Innovation, Sustainability and reliability culture.
Maintenance:
⦁ Providing technical support and training to maintenance teams.
⦁ Creating a bill of materials for all polymer plant Equipment in SAP.
⦁ Performing Technical evaluation during procurement of instrument spares
⦁ Developing Turnaround/ Shutdown scope of work required resources, materials, and manpower.
⦁ Maintaining spare parts Inventory at an optimized level.
⦁ Material Identification and codification through the SABIC MDRM material search engine.
⦁ Developing Standard maintenance procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 and SABIC SHEM/OMS standards.
⦁ Department Management representative for management systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001, RC 14001 & SHEM 03.02 and Internal Auditor for ISO9001.
⦁ Installed, configured, and calibrated a variety of instrumentation devices, including pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and control valves.
⦁ Executed preventive maintenance procedures and participated in shutdown and turnaround activities.
⦁ Contributed to the development of standard operating procedures and documentation for instrumentation systems.
⦁ Trip interlocks simulation and performing SIS Proof test before every startup.
⦁ Compressor and Turbine Control system Instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting
