Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works.
Inspection, sampling and testing of materials to assure that compliance with the contract specification.
Identify non-conforming work or materials, notify contractor and keep a record. Follow up and review corrective and preventive measure taken by the Contractor.
Assist in the review and forward comments on the contractor’s method statement for execution of the works.
Assist in the review and forward any comments on the contractor’s technical submittals.
Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters
Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.
Assist in the review and forward comments on the Technical Query raised by the contractor.
Inspect the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is executed in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practice
Inspect the on-site and off-site materials to be used in the project and organize field and laboratory tests, conducted by others, on construction materials to ascertain their compliance with the specifications and determine it acceptability for use on the project.
Identify potential safety concerns and inform the contractor (s).
Review the site progress and assist in the review of the contractor’s interim payment application.
Liaise with the RE for the effective implementation of the quality management systems and site supervision provision activities.
Implement the site supervision quality procedures, and review submission requirements of the project, along with the contractor.
Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/or delay.
Conduct regular (daily) site visits and supervise, verify the installation of Electrical works ensuring compliance with the contract documents.
Review and forward any comments on the contractor’s method statement for installation, execution of the works.
Review and forward any comments on the contractor’s technical submittals.
Review the corrective actions proposed by the contractor, respond / follow ups and close out procedure
Any potential safety concerns identified at site shall be reported to site SHSEE / RE.
Monitor the progress of the work against the approved contractor programme of works.
Verify the accuracy of the contractor’s “As-Built” drawings reflecting in details the as-built conditions and approve the As-Built drawings.
Assist in the review and approve the contractor’s operations & maintenance manuals.
Liaise with the Statutory Authorities and follow up all final inspection and approvals as required.
Carry out the final inspection for certification of final completion and handing over of the works.
• Reviewing contractor’s ELECTRICAL/TECHNICAL submittals, shop drawings, value Engineering proposals and RFI’s and compare it with design drawing and scope of work
• Ensure that the Electrical Designs are inline with client Design guidelines and as per the latest Authority requirements.
• Attend & follow up technical meeting with local authorities i.e. DEWA, Etisalat and DM to discuss the designs and approvals.
• Acquire NOCs from government and non government authorities for works
• Serve as the site representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of MEP works.
• Ensure adherence to the project's specifications and according to the time schedule.
• Acts as a liaison between different parties working on the project (civil, MEP, interior works, ..)To avoid any conflict.
• Ensure that Electrical designs are value Engineered and cost efficient.
• Offers technical input related to the cost and feasibility of various designs.
• Develops breakdown budgets that outline the cost of electrical systems.
• Takes off quantities from shop drawing and match it with site and BOQ (Project implementation management & QA/QC supervision).
• Interfacing with Client's operation staff and keep them informed of system completion status and co-ordinate with client representatives to obtain approval on work as it is accomplished.
• Reviewing during the construction phase to ensure that all electrical systems are turned over to commissioning and start-up in a smooth, safe and efficient manner.
• Preparations of pre, intermediate and post project documentations and develop operation manual for the client and SOP for contractors & subcontractors.

• Receive Tender documents (Drawings +Specification + Bill of Quantities) pertaining to Electrical Section of the works from Senior Estimation Engineer
• Review the documents and ensure that all data required for pricing are available in the documents.
• Prepare tender queries for missing information/drawing or any contradiction between the documents.
• quotations & generating enquiries to suppliers on all subject materials, receiving orders, preparing price comparisons and providing technical recommendations to the client/management
• Evaluate the supplier quotations against the tender requirements such as capacity, quantity, specifications, deviations etc. Make comparative analysis of all the quantity & use the optimum solution.
• Arrange to get the quantity take-off from the drawings through the Assistant Estimators.
• Prepare a costing for the works, highlighting the major equipment / material.
• Discuss the costing with the Senior Estimation Engineer
Job duties & Responsibilities:
Site General Tasks
• Prepare & Submit Shop Drawings to consultant for Approval.
• Provide leadership to electrical engineering team to accomplish project goals and monitor out-put.
• Prepare & Submit Technical Submittal to consultant as per specification of project for Approval and follow up with suppliers to supply approved materials.
• Prepare MEP daily progress report and any other related technical reports as necessary.
• Obtains approval from Client for all drawings from Client and Ensures delivery and installation of all materials to site as per project schedule.
• Prepare MEP Coordination shop drawings with all services to prevent any clashes.
• Check all electrical site activities as per approved shop drawings.
• Assist to certify progress claims in accordance to the contractual terms and conditions.
• Improve and enhance the productivity of work at site.
• Prepare & Submit method statements of all activities to
• consultant for Approval.
• Coordinate with Client &tenants shop about the priority of MEP defects.
• Attend regularly project progress meetings/ project coordination meetings with Project Team to coordinate design issues and space volume planning.
• Supervision, coordination and review the running activities, estimate staffing needs and schedules, and assign work to meet completion dates
• Co-ordination with Sub-Contract and consultants on day-to-day basis
• Handing over all related system and De-snagging all particular snag work.
• Supervise and coordinate the preparation of as built drawings and preparation of final variations list at the completion of the project
