•Ensure Contractors’ marine activities are carried out safely. This should include planning, directing and coordinating all the marine objectives related to offshore pipe laying, cable laying and construction projects.
•Carry out inspections of intended marine units to be used within the project, working with contractors to ensure close out of identified observations, ensuring compliance of all project specific. Marine and HSE procedures.
•Monitor/, review anchor patterns, centenary calculations, anchor handling, running/ re-running of anchors. Participate in risk assessment related to marine activities,
•Carry out periodic vessel audits on Marine spreads/ Prepare necessary daily progress reports and assessments.
•Coordinate to ensure that proposed offshore operations/ projects, with particular emphasis on approved procedures, anchor patterns and mooring calculations, are carried out and adhered to.
•Ensure safe anchor handling operations are carried out as per approved operating. Participate with Zadco in reviewing and assessing the Close-Out Report submitted by Contractor.
•Participate with Zadco in reviewing and implementing all OPCO standing instructions and procedures.
•Participate with client/Contractors to review/Approval of Barge move/anchor patterns and marine operation Risk Assessment.
9) Ensure compliance with Company’s professional/ technical safety standards and approved operating procedures. Provide technical and practical marine advice to the concerned contractor’s marine key personnel and third parties, particularly for offshore construction projects;
10) Participate in controlling all emergency situations occurring offshore; logs and investigates marine related incidents/ accidents and prepares full report including preventive action recommendations.
