1. Providing high-quality translations (English-Arabic-English), of documents, covering a range of subjects dealt with by the UN, ensuring due respect for the specificity of the Target language, and applying basic principles of documentary translation (faithfulness to original text, integrity, consistency, styles, correct grammar, UN-established terminology, etc.), and taking into consideration the elements of quality and timeliness.
2. Supporting DGACM's efforts to achieve a fully-electronic documentation processing chain by increasing the use of IT tools, participating in testing relevant innovations, e.g. on-screen translation/revision, (CAT), terminology databases, etc.
3. Integrating/expanding/mainstreaming the use of Technological innovations into the translation workflow, while maintaining quality, timeliness and quantity.
4. Contributing to the UN Internship Programme, through presentations to Interns/Junior Translators. Task includes preparing PowerPoint presentations, coordinating with ATS/other Services Focal Points, to facilitate the presentations. Task also includes setting-up & organizing the venue, and carrying out the actual presentations. In 2012-13, two presentations were prepared, delivered and feed-back was obtained.
5. Attending internal/external training to increase my professional/supervisory skills and to take-up additional functions/assignments.
6. Self-enforcement of quality control measures on my translation outputs.
7. Carrying out terminological research, as and when required, to strengthen the Arabic Terminology Forum and to maintain an integrated UN-terminology database, that is fully accessible to in-house and off-site users. This is done through continuous updating of ARABTerm/UNTerm.
8. Participating in achieving greater organisational and individual productivity, through spreading best practices, mentoring and providing appropriate guidance and supervision to interns and junior colleague translators.

- Training Course Materials, provided by Centrex-UK, a British Policing Leadership & Strategic Management Training Organization working in conjunction with the Training Department, Human Resources General Directorate of the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, to deliver high quality training courses & programmes to Commissioned Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers as well as Civilian Personnel.
- These training courses & programmes aimed to develop the officers & individual, organizational & operational skills and capabilities.
