My responsibilities in the two aforementioned companies were very similar. Those responsibilities are summarized in the followings:
Plan, organize, and control all human resource functions, both strategic and operational, including day-to-day employees related issues;
Prepare a realistic HR budget in accordance with approved manpower plan and organization structure;
Involved in setting, developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures and HR Systems. This necessitates a high involvement in job analyses, job descriptions and the development of career paths;
Involved in recruiting and hiring procedures after making sure that a fair system of selection is in place. These procedures include attracting, head hunting, examination, selection, orientation, training, … etc.;
Involved in studying the issues of employee retention, turnover, absenteeism, motivation, job satisfaction, compensation and benefits, … etc.;
Ensure that all personnel matters are being handled and executed as per internal regulations and instructions;
Involved in developing an employee handbook;
Provide HR assistance and consultation regarding performance problems and disciplinary actions, in addition to coordinating all legal matters related to HR functions;
Ensure that an efficient HR filing system is in place to guarantee the security and confidentiality of all employee data, documents and certificates;
Build training plans according to annual training needs assessments, and evaluate the effects of training on employees' performance;
Decide on annual workforce needs in coordination with department managers and section heads;
Plan employees' mobility in accordance with the needs of business units;
Annually measure employees' job satisfaction and ensure that a healthy work environment is in place;
Liaise with Social Security Dept., Income Tax Dept., and medical and life insurance companies.
