As the Training Team Leader/ESRI products Specialist in parallel Mr. Ahmad’s has a role in GISTEC in the spatial database conceptual and Physical design, and implementation of the GIS projects.
Mr. Ahmad responsibilities involves GIS project implementation that include user needs assessments, database designs, applications development, database automation, and systems integration, data conversion, system integration with other products. His particular strength is in building the physical design of the Geodatabases, analysis and implementation due to the good experience in implementing and executing such projects. Mr. Ahmad has good experience in several commercial RDMS systems like Oracle, SQL Server. In addition excellent experience in converting GIS data from different formats into the Geodatabase/ArcSDE/ArcInfo ESRI format, and he has participated in writing some applications/procedures to implement large-scale projects in which several GB of GIS data was converted into ArcSDE format
·Dubai Municipality (Planning Support System): Within this project GISTEC established a Planning Support System (PSS) with the Planning and Survey Department. During this project a large volume of graphic and tabular data were converted into a fully Geodatabase-based, all relational, ArcGIS system that facilitates carrying out the day-to-day transactions more efficiently. The project involved geo-database modeling, CAD data conversion to GIS, data cleanup, applications development and automation, training, and implementation. The end user applications were designed and developed to cater for the user requirements and to make daily activities easier and more user-friendly. Mr. Ahmad main tasks was in delivering the main requirements in this specialized project and fulfilled the role of database designer using Microsoft VISIO /data converter using procedures and programs to do batch data conversion depending on ESRI products/Implementing developed applications such as Site plan application, PSS application, Demarcation application, Geodetic Application and Data entry forms. As a training team leader other main involvement was in the end user and administrator levels trainings for implementation and design activities
Obtained the rate 85% in the graduation project named “Amman Private University Alumni Club Website Using: · Oracle 8i”, · Rational ROSE tools for modeling.
