SJIF is a Limited Public Shareholding Company that is fully owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (“PIF”). With a capital commitment of $3 billion, SJIF pursues strategic, sustainable, and economically feasible investments in Jordan’s vital and promising sectors. SJIF seeks to invest in viable long-term projects, create a clear and sustainable socio-economic impact in Jordan, and align its objectives with the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia’s strategic investment direction.



• Accounting Policies and Procedures:
o Successfully led the implementation of SAP Business One in collaboration with a third-party advisor through carefully drafting SJIF’s technical requirements, managing the delivery schedules, and rolling out the system company-wide;
o Ensured the proper application of the IFRS principles; when consolidating the group`s financial statements
o Oversaw transaction documentation, bookkeeping entries, monthly reconciliations, and closing;
o Oversaw payroll-related and employee tax matters; and
o Ensured compliance with relevant laws and regulations in parallel with the company’s internal controls and procedures; and
o Oversee the tax reporting and manage the company tax exposure while complying with the applicable laws.

• Budgeting and Reporting:
o Oversee the monthly closing process and validate the financial statements.
o Prepare and present the consolidated monthly financial package for the group and discuss it with the management.
o Managed the financial planning and budgeting process for investments that are worth USD 400+ million across technology, infrastructure, and healthcare sectors, as well as budgeting for the company itself;
o Provided extensive financial advice and assistance to SJIF’s portfolio companies, advising on capital structure, budgeting cycles, and other strategic advice;
o Ensured timely capital drawdowns and capital deployment commensurate with the company’s investing timelines;
o Provided continuous reporting and updates to the company’s board of directors through situational financial analysis, tracking variances and taking corrective actions; and
o Supported the top management and members of the investment team on an ad-hoc basis.

• Third-Party Advisors:
o Collaborated with company auditors to ensure seamless workflow of the annual audit process;
o Managed the company’s tax filings and tax audits continuously;
o Acting as the company’s focal point for communication with banks
o Negotiated the company’s insurance contracts and ensured that SJIF is properly insured against different risks, including general, fire, third-party, and directors liability insurance; and
o Handled the procurement process and commercial agreements with vendors.

• Team Management:
o Lead a team of four finance specialists and accountants in delivering workflows while managing a tight schedule;
o Set the processes, KPIs, internal controls and policies and procedures of the Finance Department.
o Proactively coach and develop accountants to enhance their technical and interpersonal skills; and
o Appraise the accountants’ performance while pointing areas of improvement and communicating the appraisals to the management.
