ORTHOPEDIC Specialist
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Taking responsibility as a Specialist under the supervision of the Consultant. Follow the policies and procedures of the hospital.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clerks admitted cases in clear handwriting with an informative complete history and examination.
• Join the Consultant on ward rounds as well as doing my own rounds. Have major part of making the patient feeling comfortable and re-assured.
• Keep following the progress of the patients during his stay. Informing the Consultant's about any important changes. Make sure that orders given by the consultants are carried out properly. Quick and enthusiastic response to calls from E.R. or other nursing or medical staff.
• Assists the Consultant in O.R. and paying attention to laboratory forms and specimens. Following the consultant routine.
• Write discharge summary.
ACTIVITIES:
As CHIEF OF ER DEPT.
Participating as an effective member in setting the treatment protocol of the ER department according to the updated guidelines.
Leader of ER department Performance Improvement Indicators Team.
Responsible for setting the annual objectives of the ER department.
Leader of Data Analysis Team for Red Crescent Cases.
Creator of Patient Referral Process to ER DEPT.
Leader of Patient Transfer Program.
Responsible for preparing and presenting the periodical medical meeting and seminars for ER staff.
Member of Utilization Committee.
Member of OPD Committee.
