Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the supervision of overall civil works including the construction of U/G
cable trench 1.2m wide and 1.80m depth for laying single circuit power cable of 1200mm ^2
core dia. over sand bedding of thermal resistivity around 300mm thk. After laying the cable
overlaid 1.2 m thermal sand followed by protective tiles and geo grid mesh and warning
tapes before laying sub base. Finally after sub base lay, the material is compacted to 95%

where is asphalt road is laid. Precast Manhole installation is needed to be done at every
corner or bend comes during the route for the cable laying process.
• Responsible for the construction of cable joint bay where ever jointing of cable is needed.
• Responsible for the construction of 132 kv Overhead Transmission line including the
construction of 132kv Gantry and its support structure like construction of Surge Arrestor
(SA) & Cable sealing End (CSE) etc. For the above project said as per design the Auger
foundation or pier foundation for tower substructure construction is followed having the
Dia. range varies from 1.0m to 1.6 m for Small angle (SA), Medium Angle (MA) to Heavy
Angle (HA). Depth of Auger foundation varies from minimum 10.0m to maximum 12.0m.
• Responsible for the construction of 132kv Gantry including construction of support structure
likes CSE and SA. As per design the construction comprises as Pad and Chimney for support
structure. Conduct inspection for layout of the structure including and other sub activities
inspection like steel inspection and shuttering as proceed in later stage.
• Responsible for concrete protection with Epoxy an emulsion of bituminous material which
will be done all over the structure as protection layer for concrete.
• At the final stage of the construction, backfill the structure to the excavated area with the
approved fill in layer by layer as of 300mm thick and get ensured the compaction percentage
as of 90% for unpaved asphalt areas and for above 95% for Asphalt paved areas.
