Inbound Logistics
• Orders follow-ups with exporters & manufacturers, ensuring shipping of goods on agreed ex-factory dates
• Confirming and following up cargo bookings with freight forwarders.
• Planning cargo consolidation to make up FCL loads for cost reduction, as well as handling LCL volumes.
• Deciding on best ship mode to ensure that goods are distributed to retail stores before launch dates.
• Follow ups for import shipping documents & ensuring discrepancies free documents are provided on time to clearing agent for goods custom clearance without incurring demurrages/storage charges. And clearance of any custom deposits, on time.
Warehouse Management
• Liaison with 3rd party logistics on warehouse & distribution management issues.
• Ensuring goods are binned / GRNed on time by WH and any +- variances are informed /handled on time. Claiming variances above tolerance levels to shippers.
• Monitoring Service level agreement KPIs with 3PL-service provider. And flagging of any issues with regards to same.
• Handling exports operations to outline retail stores and handling any issues/matters related to logistics/documentation or warehouse management
• Supervising stock take process for warehouse and retail stores.
Outbound Logistics
• Ensuring goods allocation to retail stores in right ratios, and updating of MinMax based on sales patterns.
• Ensuring old seasons terminal stock is distributed to stores before new season launch.
• Checking stock/sales movement for retail stores to ensure slow/fast-moving items are rotated between right stores.
• Checking stores stock levels to ensure sufficient stocks for stores to meet monthly sales budgets.
• Handling all store queries with prompt response to ensure no disturbance to service levels.
• Certifying suppliers, freight forwarder and 3PL invoices for payment after verification.
Warehouse Management
• Responsible for warehouse management, schedule regular store arrangements, handle stock issues & receipts.
• Manage inventories for inbound and outbound shipments (Imports, exports & local distribution)
• Handling all documents / postings for the warehouse issues and receipts. (Delivery orders(D/O), store receipt vouchers(SRV), store issue requests(SIV), goods return note (GRN), transfer Notes etc in the Tally - Accounting Software
• Lowered inventory costs by keeping system up to date for sales team review. Maintaining and controlling the balance of stock by avoiding over stocking or redundant ordering.
• Executing periodic stocktaking, stock reconciliation and relevant stock reports.
Logistics Management
• Handling all incoming (imports & locals) and outgoing (export) shipments/local deliveries.
• Handling all shipping documents Comm. Invoice, packing lists, COO, airway bills/Bill of lading, shipment advises, delivery Orders, Custom Bills, Exit/Entry Certificates etc
• Lowered shipping costs by tight negotiation with freight forwarders for air / sea shipments
• Follow-ups with suppliers/shippers/Freight brokers for the shipments tracking.
• Handling different type of shipments & familiar with all the INCOTERMS like Ex-works, FOB, FCA, C&F etc (FCL/LCL/air cargo/back to back / console shipments etc).
• Handling urgent shipments via courier cos. UPS, FedEx, TNT etc based on best tariffs
• Manage company fleet for all pick ups and deliveries, reducing over time expenses by optimizing and best utilizing transportation and manpower.
• Heavy interface with truckers for inland road transportation requirement at best negotiated rates
• Evaluate and select best economic route and method of transport
Procurement
• Liaison with foreign and local suppliers for products sourcing and ordering
• Responsible for the timely procurement & availability of goods / services for the projects.
Procurement
• Monitoring stock levels for regular items and placing orders for container loads with foreign suppliers.
• Liaisons with all foreign, local suppliers and service providers for all necessary communications.
• Sourcing items in local market for low qty items, thus reducing cost of importation.
• Maintaining good relations with local and foreign suppliers.
• Sourcing new models of items for better prices and quality.
• Dealing with publishers, printers, service providers for office related services/activities.
Logistics & Warehouse Management
• Shipments and shipping documents follow-ups with suppliers and all intermediate parties.
• Handling local distribution to customers for door deliveries.
