Job Objective:
Offering expert knowledge and skills in order to generate and promote a positive health and safety culture. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders across the college directorate to plan, implement, monitor and review protective and preventative measures in order to minimize operational losses, occupational health problems, accidents and injuries. This position will also be responsible for inspecting laboratories and workplaces to minimize or eliminate hazards from processes, such as incorrect working methods, and materials, such as potentially toxic chemicals. In order to ensure safety and health compliance, the Coordinator delivers training and professional development sessions for the college community as required.
Responsibilities/ Duties:
•Participates in the development of Health and Safety internal policies, procedures and working practices for system wide college campuses
•Conducts risk assessments and develops strategies for facilitating employee/student health and safety risks
•Outlines safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
•Conducts regular site/laboratory inspections to ensure adherence to Safety and Health policies and procedures
•Conducts staff training on Health and Safety issues and risks.
•Conducting internal audit for EHSMS at all HCT Campuses.
•Participating as an auditee in certified body audit on the HCT EHSMS.

•Prepares and maintains inspection records and produces reports that suggest improvements
•Maintains incident records and produces statistics for management as required
•Maintains a working knowledge of Health and Safety best practices and industry policy changes
•Produces health and safety related reports, newsletters and bulletins
•Advises on a range of specialist areas including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases
•Travels to HCT colleges to attend meetings, workshops and conferences as required
•Develops an awareness of and respect for the customs and cultures of HCT students and employees.

Responsibilities/ Duties :
• Project Manager of auditing CCTV systems for all entities (185) coming under PSQA Dep.
• Conducting EHS Training for ADEC Staff and ADEC entities
• Conducting internal audit for EHSMS at ADEC HQ.
