Strategic:
• Studying different proposals from different vendors for new upgrades of the data network.
• Supervision on the migration team who is responsible of migrating TE and TE Data IP networks
Operational:
• Level 3 support for critical issues.
• Review and participate in activities to support the technical support teams for quick resolutions to our customers, which belong to network issues.
• Documented resolutions in order to identify problem areas, and devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and to prevent potential and repetitive problems.
• Assess hardware and software requirements for new locations and upgrade existing locations to meet business needs.
• Receiving new projects from different teams and ensuring they are following up standards.
• Preparing technical reports which measure network performance.
• Plan, document and implement Network projects related to upgrading or installing, new software and hardware
• Enhancing the performance of the network by commitment standards and reducing the work around solutions in the Data network.
People Management:
• Prepare performance planning (PP) and performance appraisal (PA) and PP/PA interviews including employee development plans and approve training requests.
• Troubleshooting LAN/WAN and WI-FI problems.
• Monitoring events logs which created by ITSM Tivoli management system
• Push configuration and replace IOSs on devices by Local Management System LMS
• Replacement of failed equipment
• Operate and configure new devices 7600, 7200, 4500, 1900, 6500, 3650 families
• Operate WAN serial links E3’s, E1 and STM1
• Operate HDSL, leased and dialup lines
• On call 24X7
• Operate on LAN of Cairo Zone
• Administrate Active Directory domain based on windows server 2003
• Ensure the Data backup of user’s data and security policies implementation on it
• Protect against Virus attacks by regularly updating the Antivirus S/W and scanning all computers
• Administrate main directory Search engine application based on Oracle10g Database and Red hat enterprise Linux 3 platform
