• Job Description - Senior Enterprise Support Engineer ( NOC Department )
The Network Operation Centre (NOC) has three main roles:
1. to ensure maximum possible service availability and performance
2. to provision customer network services on core equipment
3. to provide support services for Engineering and other technical teams
We interact frequently with technical support, service provisioning and sales teams so it's important that we are clear and concise in our communications. We also work very closely with the Engineering team and as such need to develop a good all-round understanding of systems and networks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain the LDN Core network (MPLS, BGP and OSPF).
• Failure handling and escalation.
• Provisioning (IP assignment, core network configuration, DNS setup, monitoring and graphing for Data Consumed, leased lines, customer backup and other customer network services (VPN over DSL, 3G and WIFI) and supporting the customer technically 24x7.
• Responsible for Configuration, Monitoring and troubleshooting the IP/MPLS core network at LDN. Vendors are (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, Paradyne )
• Supporting the installation & troubleshooting of lease lines from the network operations aspects.
• Following up on CRM tickets flow with other teams.
• Familiar with Juniper ERX BRAS, Juniper M/T series, Juniper MX series, Cisco CRS, 878, 2600, 7500, 3000 routers, Cisco 3500, 2900 switches, Alcatel Lucent ISAMs FD & XD, Alcatel Lucent ASAMs, AWS & AMS, ZMS access management, 3com switches, Zohne, Paradyne, Adetran, OneAccess 1421 and 1431 SHDSL routers.
