Project Director for the Terminal Larenjeiras Project in Sao Francisco Do Sul, Brazil. A major terminal project on more than 640, 000 square meters for storing and exporting granular food / agricultural commodities.
Project consists of rail and roads networks for inbounding, conveying systems and silos for handling & storing grains and offshore berth in the ocean connected to the project with 1.2 km long bridge for exporting the commodities.

Responsibilities:

A- Establishing the project’s brief, request for proposal, defining scope of services, prequalifying and short listing international consultants in North America and local consultants in Brazil.
B- Evaluating and approving the consultancy offers of the design and construction services (pre contract and post contract) and establishing agreements with the appointed consultants based on FIDIC.
C- Managing the design progress and attending the technical workshops in Dubai, USA and Brazil to ensure all deliverables comply with the scope of services and the timely completion of each design phase.
D- Liaising with the other key stakeholders including project’s partners, advisory services agency, environmental authority in Brazil, etc. to obtain the required approvals and statutory permits in Sao Francisco.
E- Evaluating and certifying the consultants’ payment applications and managing the variation orders.
F- Soliciting and negotiating offers from potential nominated contractors and manufacturers for the project’s different components in line with the design deliverables to establish budgetary estimates for the processing of the appointed advisory services agency.

• Strategizing and Developing relations with existing Clients to generate new businesses, responding Clients’ requests for proposals (R.F.P.), preparing and negotiating technical and financial offers for consultancy services as well as establishing relations with potential Clients to create new opportunities, improve the company’s market share, etc.
• Establishing, developing and / or administering contracts / agreements with Clients, Allied Consultants and Contractors striving to protect the Employers’ rights & benefits as an utmost priority and to empower their stances with the other parties.
• Assisting and advising the Clients to establish stimulus plans & strategies, cost estimates, time frames throughout the projects life to ensure technical quality, cost effectiveness, timely completion of projects’ deliverables and H.S.E. measures, all in compliance with the legal implications.
• Preparing and defining scopes, milestones and K.P.I's to meet the projects’ objectives and Clients’ requirements including deployment charts of resources, responsibilities matrixes, flow charts, etc.
• Pre qualifying, negotiating and communicating with Consultants, Contractors, nominated sub contractors and vendors based on high standard practices and with prudence to avoid disputes /claims occurrences, to resolve conflicts & claims, to solicit the best value services, etc.
• Hands on the Technical & Project Development aspects at the pre-contract stage including design development & review, value engineering, tendering & awarding processes as well as the Project Construction aspects at the post-contract stage including construction management, site supervision, technical affairs, contract administration up to the project’s final hand over based on agreements, conditions of contract (FIDIC), etc.
• Liaising and interacting with the statutory authorities, master developers, funding bodies, end users, etc. to ensure full integration and a smooth progress free of deficiencies.

Senior Project Architect for a prestigious cultural center for the Ministry of Public Works in Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E. Project is designed by Michael Graves Architect.

Responsibilities: Assisting the client to approve civil & architectural items such as color schemes, samples of materials, visual and technical performance mock-ups, etc.., Coordinating with the Design Office to clear discrepancies, Responding the contractor’s Requests For Information and other quality control forms, etc., Checking and Approving shop drawings and technical submittals, Supervising the works at site, etc.

A) Design and technical coordination for the corporation owned projects including the standard / non-standard filling service stations, the corporation’s main labor accommodation, etc.
B) Liaising and interacting with the end users, company’s different departments and contractors to ensure integration and full compliance with the company’s guidelines and tender documents.
C) Interact and Communicate with the sites workshops to ensure the contract design and specification are efficiently implemented.
D) Coordinate with the sites to respond contractors’ queries related to the contract design and specifications.
E) Participate in the selection and approval of sample of materials, color schemes, visual and technical performance mock-ups, etc.

Project and Position : Project Architect / Technical Coordinator for the development of one of the most famous touristic and commercial roads in Dubai, U.A.E. (Rigga Road Development).

Responsibilities : Development and Coordination of the concept design till obtaining the statutory authorities and client’s approval (Dubai Municipality) for each design stage, Technical Coordination with all the engineering and infrastructure disciplines including sewage, water supply, road lighting, etc. till the issuance of tender and contract documents.
