•• Review and commented on contractor’s schedule and weekly/monthly Progress reports including manpower and equipment to ensure the right productivity levels are achieved.
• Identify risks and give directives with regard to corrective actions required for re-scheduling and recovery plans.
• Review material submittals.
• Review contractors’ method statements for construction activities related to Electrical Discipline.
• Review construction drawings, specification & scope of work.
• Implement Permit to Work system for various applications.
• Supervise contractor’s construction activities and proposed remedial action for construction interface issues.
• Use applicable international standards and ADCO standards with sufficient understanding to enable conflict resolution.
• Understand interrelationships and Co-ordinated between various engineering disciplines.
• Prepare responses to contractor’s queries related to design / site issues.
• Supervise and witness pre-commissioning activities.
• Follow up with contractors/equipment vendors to ensure availability of operating and maintenance manuals in due time for commissioning and initial startup activities.
• Lead and Attended “Ready For Commissioning” walk downs/walkthrough. Identify Punch/Snack list and followed up with concerned parties to ensure timely clearance remaining items.
• Liaise between Project and Operations teams commissioning and start up activities.
• Review and discuss test results with concerned parties in Engineering and Operations and follow up with contractors/Vendors for timely correction of anomalies.
• Focal point for projects during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.
• Ensure work activities are carried out according to HSE plan and procedures.
• Participate in HSE Audit/Inspection and followed up on raised items until closure.
• Participate in Risk Management Review workshops.
• Participate and contribute in HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS and PHSERS review meetings.
• Develop Load Analysis for low & Medium voltage distribution.
• Develop SLD for low & medium voltage distribution.
• Good Knowledge of Different types of MV Switchgears
• Good Knowledge of Different types of Power and Distribution Transformers.
• Good Knowledge of Different types of Electrical Equipment (NER’s, SCMS, etc.)
• Review & Develop Electrical Equipment Specifications and Datasheet for low & medium voltage distribution.
• Perform transformer, Switchgear sizing, UPS, battery, EDG sizing for low & Medium voltage distribution.
• General Knowledge about Substation layouts and Equipment spacing.
• Participate in Power Skids designs and layouts.
• Perform feasibility studies, Project Definition (PID) reports for small projects involving low voltage.
• Review Cable Schedules, Cable Routing Layouts & Cable sections drawings for medium size projects.
• Review Lighting Layouts & Lighting schedules for medium size projects.
• Review Earthing layouts for medium size projects.
• Review conceptual design for selected option for major projects
Review Overhead Line route, profile drawings, data sheets & vendor materials approvals.
Electrical design for different types of buildings (villas accommodation complex multi story buildings, Mosques, multipurpose halls…etc) including the following systems;
Power distribution system according to ADDC, and IEE standard:
1. Preparing of load schedules, Electrical SLD’s
2. Voltage drop and cable sizing calculation.
3. Transformer and generator sizing.
Lighting system according to CIBSE Code
1. Lux calculation using Dialux software.
Telephone System according to Etisalat Regulation.
Fire alarm according to NFPA and civil defense regulation.
Sound system.
Earthling and Lightening system according to BS EN 62305.
Familiar with the latest regulation of different departments/Authorities specially ADDC and Civil Defense
Familiar with following Authorities NOC’s and Department Approvals for different kinds of projects
