• Discuss, agree and plan with the business opportunity owners and/or firm on the extent of the professional involvement.
• Provide a state of the are quality advisory services for my clients including project management, specific tasks outsourcing, allocating resources and managing budgets and engagements economics.
• Respond to the client’s received RFPs by writing a top notch proposals focused on the agreed IT & Business service offering as per the clients customers needs.
• Act as a liaison between the engaged consulting firms and its clients to ensure a smooth engagement operations, while providing technical expertise in the relevant areas
Ahmed is a highly qualified IT Risk Assurance experienced senior manager in PwC Egypt - Cairo office; he has a solid 15 years of experience focusing predominantly on issues of sophisticated business automation, IT transformation, IT Governance, Risk Management and compliance issues within the Middle East marketplace . As he is currently leading the practice of the Information Technology Risk Assurance in PwC Cairo office with a regional portfolio includes more than two hundred reputable clients in Egypt and the Middle East Region.
He works with large corporations within the Middle East region, mainly with financial services institutes including banks, insurance, micro finance and Customers’ Industrial Products Services and Telecom companies; to help them gaining an insight around their technology organizations and technology enabled risks threatening and to assist them to achieve their business objectives.
Ahmed also is focusing on the automation of business processes and the delivery of automation mechanism values and benefits to various industries’ organizations stakeholders, while aligning the information technology objectives with the overall organization's’ business objectives. This typically includes ERP Project Implementation Assurance, establishing and running a project management office for ERP implementation projects, pre and post implementation reviews. IT Governance, risk and compliance “GRC” and ERP implementation benefits realization.
Roles and Responsibilities
Demonstrates proven industry regard as a thought leader involving leading and directing teams that create, develop, and execute technology solutions for a global network of professional services and industrial corporates, emphasizing intimate knowledge of the following areas:
Provide the needed thoroughly understanding of the clients financial, operational, and technology objectives including internal controls environment components and align it with the designed business strategies and objectives;
Taking a keen interest in trends and the impact on the clients’ IT & Business strategies and initiatives, which impacts the current IT function design and support its transformation and/or modernization programs;
Provide a subject matter expertise and directions in the implementation of the clients’ IT risk assessments; IT audit standards and frameworks implementation e.g. COBIT, ISO 17799, ISO/IEC 27002, ITIL, etc.; data security and privacy regulations; extranet and third party connections, infrastructure and related technologies and;
Review and provide guidance on the pre defined resource requirements and project economics areas, especially project management methodologies and tools including outsourcing methodologies and operating models.
Provide collaboration and cooperation to other line of services’ leaders and across different competences within other Technology and Enterprise Resilience team (e.g. Data Assurance, Cyber Security and Enterprise Resilience) and manage the relationships with other PwC line of services.
Analyzes business process, design and implement business cycles and workflows.
Collects and analyzes business and accounting requirements.
Analyzes customer reported problems and reports to appropriate channels problem areas in products.
Works with development department in testing and implementing new product features, recommended structures and throughput.
