Saudi Arabia’s Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) is the world’s largest water desalination firm. With 30 desalination plants, 4, 000 kilometres of pipelines, over 10, 000 employees and more than 21 billion US dollars in assets, SWCC generates desalinated potable water from the shores of the Arab Gulf in the east and the Red Sea in the west. SWCC the water towards the cities and delivers it to water distributors. Additionally, SWCC also produces about 20% of Saudi Arabia’s electricity as part of the desalination process.

O&M Manager Role:
Managing 8 full time resources + 6 part time (task based) resources, in running the business applications, maintain business applications' relevant environments, and delivering a set of initiatives, including the following activities and deliverables:
1. ERP application QA; with “Ernst & Young” as third party
2. helpdesk implementation (include developing SWCC e-TP helpdesk policies and procedures) following ITIL methodology

The DSS systems were developed under Oracle Application Server 9iAS Release 2 with using Microsoft InterDev Ver. 6.0.
The developed reports accessed through Oracle Viewer 9i and User Edition; and data consolidation performed in a daily basis from 13 sites across the country. Also, Data entry form developed for non Oracle Application Sites (Using Oracle Forms).
