A) Strategic Perspective:
1. Setting and developing strategic objectives, goals, and plans to achieve company vision and mission by implementing internal and external analysis.
2. Leading New Products Development - NPD committee by analyzing process steps, determine bottlenecks, assigning responsibilities, and removing obstacles to assure that product availability is aligned with launching plans.
3. Part of Registration follow up committee, to make sure that all supply issues related to pipeline products are running and performing efficiently.
B) Managerial Perspective:
1. Investigate root cause of unfavorable trends, implement corrective actions where appropriate.
2. Build and develop intra-departmental policies and procedures according to APICS standards and regulatory guidelines.
3. Building and developing teams work by diversify team capabilities, knowledge and skills.
C) Tactical Perspective:
1. Planning and Inventory Management:
i. Defining inventory levels policies with continuous tracking and make sure that all inventories are within the optimum levels to avoid expected fluctuation in demand and supply.
ii. Supervise preparation of production plans on annual, semi-annual and quarterly basis to assure that all products are 100% available to meet sales demand and
iii. Define all operational constrains; available capacity, work load, production lines efficiency levels, and bottlenecks by collecting data and observe real operations running to make sure that master production schedules are prepared and performed as per planned.
iv. Enhance efficiency by removing bottlenecks and operational obstacles.
v. Analyze slow moving and obsolete inventories.
vi. Define MRP approaches by selecting it based on ABC Classification to assure 100% adherence to production demand.
vii. Apply cycle counting to monitor inventory records.
2. Procurement:
i. Managing supplier selection and evaluation processes based on price, delivery, reliability, quality, and customer service factors to maximize company’s benefits.
ii. Supplier partnership management by issue and negotiate annual supply contracts for A items with fixed prices to avoid price fluctuation and guarantee continues components availability.
iii. Expand supply sources by opening new supply channels for both local and international markets to enhance supply qualities, and make sure that no component has no supplier or even no sole supplier.
iv. Improve cost saving programs to reduce purchasing costs by developing current supply terms and survive markets for available alternatives.
v. Follow-up delivery schedules to ensure proper alignment of planned orders.
vi. Preparing company purchasing and payment plans as per planned orders receipts and cross function department’s needs.
3. Warehousing and Logistics:
i. Develop and maintain transportation system on domestic and international freight that ensures business needs are met
ii. Managing and follow up all logistics cycles; Customs clearance, sales orders deliveries, shipping schedules, raw materials movements between different manufacturing site.
iii. Monitor logistics costs by controlling trips efficiencies, and fuel consumption.
iv. Making Alliance with 3PL.
v. Applying Good Storage Practice - GSP, and Good Manufacturing Practice - GMP, in all warehouses to assure complying with regulatory guidelines.
vi. Managing stock movements, allocation between different stores.
vii. Setting and managing controlled documentation cycle including; receiving’s, deliveries, rejections, and returns.
viii. Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
4. IT:
i. ERP project manager.
ii. Provide supply chain and operational URS - User Requirement Specifications - to ERP provider.
5. Finance:
i. Follow-up supplier’s payments and their dues.
ii. LC’s and money transfer follow-up.
iii. Prepare and manage departmental expenses budget.
