Senior Project Controls Manager with Louis Berger as PMC on Warner Bros Theme Park and Ferrari World Phase II Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Assigned as an augmented team member with the client Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) for their Health Facilities Planning and Design (HFPD) department to overlook the “Fire and Life Safety Risk Mitigation Program” for 29 existing and running hospitals spread over the entire country and their ancillary buildings hosting other medical facilities.
Responsible for the management of all Project Controls related activities at one of the country's most prestigious project, Barwa Commercial Avenue - a mixed use development of QAR 6.7 Billion extending about 9 kilometers in length on about 550, 000 square meters of land with over 900, 000 square meters of built-up area offering state-of-the art facilities supported by an advanced network of infrastructure with a provision of over 11, 700 parking slots, includes residential apartments, commercial complexes, showrooms and an exclusive shopping mall.
Was responsible to oversee the Implementation of Project Management System which was developed with complete set of Procedures, Formats and Manuals coherent to company organization, standards and policies apart from integrating and customizing the project management softwares of Primavera P6 and Primavera Contract Management. Objectives were aimed at making the Project Management Systems unit a profit center catering to Control Systems and Services on par with International Standards and Practices.
Was responsible for entire Project Controls activities for the newly setup ALEMCO - MEP division of ALEC, including setting up entire Project Controls procedures, formats and building recommended WBS - Work Breakdown Structure hierarchy coherent and integrated with company standards adapting a smooth process flow of quality and cost control of all departments across all projects. Worked on the following projects: Shangri La Qaryat Al Beri Hotel Resort at Between the Bridges, Umm al Narr, Abu Dhabi. Total Value AED 1.5 Billion A design and build project facing a kilometer long private beach includes a luxury hotel, service apartments and deluxe villas, complemented full-fledged dining, entertainment, retail, Spa and recreational facilities. It faces a 1, 000 metre long private beach. The 214 guestrooms, 161 studio to four bedroom serviced apartments and 7 four to six bedroom deluxe villas all feature water views. Traders Hotel, Between the Bridges, Umm al Narr, Abu Dhabi. Total Value AED 350 Million The 10 floor, 350 key Hotel with full-fledged restaurant and dining facilities is a part of the Between the Bridges Project Development,
overlooking the Shangri La resort. Marina Plaza (Plot 3F Office Tower), Dubai Marina, Dubai. Total Value AED 535 Million The 41 floor shell and core commercial office tower, Marina Plaza, is part of the Dubai Marina Mall complex, overlooking the Marina. Qasr Al Sarab Hotel Resport & Spa, Al Gharbia, Near Hameem, Abu Dhabi. Total Value AED 1.2 Billion A luxury five star Arabian resort for Anantara in the Liwa Desert, features a luxury five star hotel, a health and spa, a conference centre, 42 deluxe and 7 royal villas with separate pavilion reception facilities, desert excursion, and tented village with complete recreation experience. Tendered several projects from March 2007 to April 2009.
Was solely responsible for all Planning, Scheduling and Cost Control related activities on the country's prestigious flagship healthcare venture, Mater Dei Hospital, one of Europe's biggest hospital. Total Value ML 270 million (USD 1 Billion) A MEP Subcontract with Skanska Malta JV for the client Foundation for Medical Services — an autonomous body of the Ministry of Health, Malta, under the Project Management of Skanska of Sweden, for the 825 beds hospital with 54 medical departments, 24 operating theaters on a 250, 000 M2 built-up area with parking facility of 1600 cars in addition to Research and Training facilities offered by Medical & Nursing School, a Library along with services such as catering, restaurants, shops, apart from auditorium, chapel, staff accommodation and management offices.
Was responsible for entire Planning, Scheduling and Cost Control related activities for the prestigious Ritz Carlton Hotel Project at the West Bay district of Doha, Qatar. A MEP Subcontract with Consolidated Contractors International Company for Qatar National Hotels Company, Doha under the Project Management of Turner Steiner Projacs, the consultant and architects being Fentress Bradburn of Canada for complete Electrical & Mechanical installation works for the 376 rooms, 25 storey high rise Five Star Hotel Building with Leisure Island and Marina Sports facilities.
