One of the key success factors for Integrated Readiness of the New Fields is to develop an effective and efficient Asset Management System which should be implemented with all of its essential features including a comprehensive Asset Register, Maintenance Program and Spare Parts management in order to provide a smooth transition from Project Phase to Operations Phase. The estimated total number of Assets/Tags is 180, 000.

Main Responsibilities:

A. Asset Management System Implementation Project
1. Leading the development of the project scope of work (SOW) covering the different phases of implementation for the three new fields, where phase-1 will cover the early production facilities (wellhead towers, wellheads, platforms, equipment, structures, etc.) of UL & Nasr fields, Projects facilities for SARB field, and Phase-2 will cover the full fields developed facilities that cover over 180, 000 company Assets/Tags
2. Supervising activities associated with the implementation of all phases of AMS project (Phase-1 (2nd Q 2013 to 1st Q 2014) and Phase-2 (3rd Q 2015 to 4th Q 2018) from development of SOW, to completion, including testing and commissioning
3. Supervising the implementation of the Reliability Cantered Maintenance technique that will be implemented on critical equipment (Assets)

Major Overhauls / Shutdowns: Planning and preparing for the major overhauls/shutdowns of the equipment, train, plant, system, etc. This includes the preparation of the budget, action plan, scope of work, plan, materials and the construction package. Also tracking the major overhaul / shutdown activities, monitoring and reporting the progress during the shutdown and preparing post shutdown reports.
3. Budget: Preparing and updating (in conjunction with the relevant Job Officers) the maintenance budget (for major overhauls, major schemes and purchasing plant/equipment).
4. CMMS: Using the CMMS (currently Maximo) for: Planning, reporting, monitoring and analyzing maintenance activities. Also for checking preventive maintenance, breakdowns, inspection certificates, materials, etc. The company has replaced the previous CMMS Passport to Maximo where I shared the implementation team in reviewing and commenting on all maintenance related data such as: Plant / Equipment hierarchies, criticality, codes, PMs, etc
5. Key Performance Indicators and Annual Objectives: Preparing and monitoring maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Annual Objectives progress to be presented to senior management in the "Quarterly Performance Review (QPR) Presentation".
6. Plant Modifications & Engineering Studies: Custody, following up, updating and coordinating with Engineering and all concerned disciplines the Plant Modification Requests (PMRs) and Work Requests for Engineering studies (WRs).
7. Task Forces: Participating as required in task forces that prepare studies / recommendations for the relevant subjects.
8. Meetings: Attending meetings with Disciplines, Engineering, Management, etc. and preparing the minutes of meetings as required.

Maintenance Planning Section Head at Badr Petroleum Company (BAPETCO) - (Shell Joint venture with EGPC)

BAPETCO is a joint venture company between Shell and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). BAPETCO had seven main production sites/plants: BED-1, BED-2, BED-3, BED15-1, Sitra, Gemsa, and Obayied. The company was producing about 800, 000 scf of gas and 200, 000 barrel of oil per day. I worked in BED-3 where it was the main production plant of the company in the Egyptian western desert. BED-3 had three gas trains and one oil train.
Bed-3 was receiving the oil and gas from the other production areas and wells, processing and exporting them to Alameriya metering station in Alexandria (where gas is metered and sold) and Alhamra metering station in Alalamin (for oil metering and exporting).

1.Managing and operating the Maint. Planning Department including the CMMS (COMAC from 1990 till end of 1999 and IMMPOWER from beginning of 2000 till I left in June 2000) to ensure the continued service of maint. to the production of gas and oil.
2.Long and Short Term Plans: Preparing / updating the 5 years maint. reference plan that was updated annually. Also preparing the 90−day rolling plan that was updated on weekly basis.
3.Major Overhauls / Shutdowns: Planning and executing Train and Equipment S/Ds. The execution involved progress tracking and reporting during and post the relevant S/Ds.
4.CMMS: was responsible for the implementation of the new CMMS "IMMPOWER"
I am certified from both COMAC and IMMPOWER companies.
As a custodian and manager of the above mentioned systems, I had the following main duties:
4.1.The successful implementation of the CMMS to all company equipment as appropriate.
4.2.Preparing, checking and issuing the due planned work (PMs).
4.3.Reviewing and planning the breakdown/shutdown jobs with the relevant Discipline Engineers.
4.4.Extracting, compiling and issuing reports from the CMMS as required by the Job Officers and maint. Sector Manager. This included the Backlog Reports and other KPIs reports.
4.5.Backing up the data on daily, weekly and monthly basis, and archiving reports and work orders when due.
5.Implementing preventive maint. for all company sites. This included Bed-3, Bed−1, Bed−2, Bed15-1, Sitra, AL−Ameriya metering station, AL−Hamra metering station and Gemsa.
6.Materials Follow-up: Following up material requisitions (MR's) via the CMMS system.
7.Maintenance Monthly Report: Compiling and preparing the maintenance monthly report (including Performance Indicators).
8.Field Change Proposals (FCPs): Custody, following up, updating and coordination of related work with Engineering and all concerned disciplines.
9.Meetings: Attending regular and irregular coordination meetings and writing the minutes as required.
