Establish Project Quality team, develop Project Quality Plan, identify procedures and monitor implementation.
Manage a multi discipline team of QA/QC personnel. Align quality resources with project needs and assure effective coverage of the project load.
Appraise vendor’s capability to provide suitable product/service. Perform this evaluation based on previous satisfactory experience, formal visits to vendors and review on vendor-supplied documents.
Convene pre-inspection meetings and approve inspection and test plan and procedures.
Ensure proper planning for inspection activities. Ensure availability of all necessary documents at inspection release and implement suitable corrective actions.
Maintain cordial relationship with Client Representative and ensure that client quality requirements are understood, agreed and fulfilled.
Analyse quality information (audit results, process / product non-conformities, feedback etc.) and identify corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure distribution of project quality plan and relevant QA/QC documentation.
Review and monitor implementation of PQP, ITP and Method statement.
Conduct and/or participate in client quality or technical compliance audits for subcontractors or vendors. Participate in project meetings and report on quality issues.
Reports progress/status related to quality system on a regular basis to project site management and Corporate QA/QC Manager.
Monitor Non Conformance’s reports and follow up with site team to ensure all non-conformance issues are resolved and closed out.
Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.
Conduct quality control practices awareness session for the quality control team.
Review the contract documents for each construction phase in respect of QA/QC requirements and procedures and advise the Project Director of any deficiency.
Manage and monitor subcontractor site representatives to ensure that subcontractor quality team work effectively at site and monitor their quality performance.
Direct quality activities on the project site to ensure management goals and objectives are met.
Check that all necessary inspections and tests, as required of the project and statutory regulations are carried out and appropriate records are updated and maintained.
Ensure proper planning and notification for inspection visits and ensure availability of all necessary documents at inspection release.
Liaise with client representative concerning quality matters on site.
Support Corporate QA/QC Manager to ensure Quality policy and objectives are communicated within the organization.
Provide input on performance ratings, career growth potential, salary and other compensation changes, termination and recruitment/hiring of QA/QC team.
Approve travel and leave requests, service reports, cash statements and security-related documentation move and access request for QA/QC team at site
Monitor indexing, filing and storage of inspection requests, test reports, correspondence, and training materials within QA/QC at site.
