Scope of work:

The electrical scope of work in the 2 production lines (gypsum board and powder) was done in-house without any outsourcing contractors, so my job description is divided in 2 parts as the following

1- Construction scope

 Responsible and managing the electrical staff for issuing the basic and detail design and prepare the technical specs and technical evaluation for the suppliers. For all the electrical materials such as MV switchgears, transformers, LV switchgears, UPS, cables, automation system, cable tray and conduits and lighting fixtures
 Responsible and managing the electrical staff for the construction work of the following
• MV cable underground cable installation (72 KM of MV cables) under supervision of EETC
• MV switchgear installation and commissioning supervision with switchgear supplier
• Distribution transformers installation and commissioning
• LV switchgear installation and commissioning
• Installation of cable trays and cable pulling (70 KM of power, instrumentation and control cables)
• PLC interface and signal test and supervise the programming issue with the automation system supplier
• Installation and commissioning of lighting system
• Perform the cold run test and sequence test for the 2 lines equipment

Scope of work:

 Tender Documents Preparation, Invitation and instructions to bidders, Setting the criteria and procedures for evaluation of suppliers and contractors
 Tenders evaluation and negotiations including detailed analysis of bids received, guarantee and performance testing conditions evaluation, study of vendors and sub-vendors and sub-contractor's list to ensure quality of deliverables.
 Projects technical specification preparation
 Electrical design review for basic and details engineering for all electrical and instrumentations items such as single line diagram, power demand calculation, consumer list, sensor list, cable list, instruments flow sheet, earthing and lightning calculations, electrical panels details engineering, …..etc.
 Purchase documents review for all electrical equipment such as cables, motors, switchgears, variable frequency drives, transformers, diesel generators, …etc.
 Factor Acceptance Test (FAT) for MV switchgears, LV switchgears, Power and distribution transformers, MV motors and VFD panels with different suppliers (ABB China, Siemens China, Schnider China and Siemens Germany)
 Site supervision for all electrical installation activities such as cable tray, cable pulling, switchgears, transformers…etc.
 Prepare the commissioning schedule and follow up the commissioning activities
 Prepare the site activities progress report and revise the contractor invoices according to the work progress.

Scope of work:
➢ Assist the construction manager in meeting project requirements and perform all the technical duties in efficient manner
➢ Ensure that all systems are completed and handed over softly in the planned time

➢ Provide and agree all the commissioning deliverables
➢ Ensure safe execution of all commissioning scope

Low voltage switchgear, marshalling and PLC panels design

➢ Prepare the load list for the low voltage switchgears
➢ Prepare the signal list according to the flow sheet and the interface local panels
➢ Prepare the technical purchasing order for the required material
➢ Preparing the single line diagram and control diagram

FAT (Factory acceptance) test for panels
➢ Visual check for the panel dimension, materials, rating of CB and labels identification.
➢ Perform the DC insulation test for the panels
➢ Function check for the panel according to the wiring diagram
➢ Prepare the as manufacturing documentations

Testing, Commissioning and start up
➢ Testing for (LV, MV) Cables by continuity check, insulation test and HI-POT testing for the MV cables
➢ Performing the signal test and loop check for all consumers, instruments and local panels
➢ Testing the distribution transformers (2500 KVA, 8 MVA & 10 MVA) by performing the visual check, turns ratio, vector group, no load test, winding resistance, Meggering test and function check for all interface signals from the transformer instruments
➢ Testing the LV & MV switchgear by performing Visual check, wiring check, bus bar torqueing, mechanical check for movable parts, check all mechanical interlock, check the interchangeability, check the CT ratio and direction, Check VT ratio and polarity and check the protection relays
➢ Testing (LV, MV) motors by performing insulation check, signal test at test position and cold run for the motors
➢ Testing and start up for LV variable frequency drives and soft starter
