• Manage the assigned projects technically and lead a multi-disciplinary project team throughout the project lifecycle from the tender phase to the phases of the design, procurement, construction, launching, sea trials, testing, and the delivery.
• Prepare the tenders' techno-commercial proposals & documents, the technical specifications, the general layouts drawings, costs estimation of the required equipment & materials in accordance with the customers’ requirements.
• Review the basic ship design, the detailed design & the workshop drawings in compliance with the applicable regulatory bodies rules, the project specifications, and the quality standards.
• Conduct the inclining experiments, lightship weight surveys/draft surveys and prepare the required calculations and reports for the vessel in compliance with the regulatory bodies rules and the classification societies.
• Perform the stability calculations and prepare the stability booklets using the General Hydrostatics Software “GHS” and the structural analysis calculations using the Structural Analysis Software “ANSYS” in accordance with the applicable rules.
• Analyze the techno-commercial offers of the major equipment & materials in accordance with the project’s specifications, budget & schedule and participate effectively in preparation of the contracts according to our company's policies.
• Provide technical support when required, including building strategy, launching calculations, berthing, production processes, commissioning, trials, acceptance tests and the delivery of the vessel to the client and classification society.
• Develop subsidiary management plans integrated with the project management plan, such as the schedule plan of the engineering deliverables, the procurement plan for the required materials and equipment, etc.
• Supervise the finalization of the engineering deliverables, detailed design, workshop drawings, etc. right in time & quality.
• Conduct regular meetings throughout the project lifecycle with the project team to discuss the current progress of the project and its performance against the schedule baseline and the other project’s constraints.
• Liaise closely with the relevant stakeholders, e.g. the ship owners, classification society’s surveyors, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to discuss the outstanding issues, comments, needs, and expectations.
• Report to Engineering Manager.

Naval Architect / Technical Department Head of Hull & Outfitting at Zamil Offshore Services Company

• Review the Hull Structure & Hull Outfitting's basic design drawings independently in compliance with the vessel specifications, classification society rules, other statutory bodies rules, and the customer requirements.
• Develop the 3D model of the hull form and the hull & outfitting components using the advanced software FORAN.
• Prepare the detailed design, workshop drawings, steel cutting sketches, and other deliverables in accordance with the approved basic design, the vessel specifications, and the quality standards by using the software AutoCAD, FORAN, etc.
• Prepare the technical procedures during the construction phase, including the hull’s blocks assembly, welding sequence, propulsion installation, etc. in accordance with the quality standards and the classification society rules if required.
• Prepare the technical proposals and the corrective actions in compliance with the IACS standards and the classification society rules and getting the approval from the attending class surveyor for any Non-Conformance Reports “NCR”.
• Assist the engineering project manager in the preparation of the technical proposals and carry out Perform structural and stability calculations to support the design calculations.
• Develop material specifications and bills of materials in accordance with the project specifications, customer requirements, the project budget and the availability in local & foreign markets.
• Report to Engineering Project Manager.

Executive Hull and Welding Engineer at Zamil Offshore Services Company

• Prepare the building procedures and technological sequences of the ship blocks assembly and ship erection plan.
