Projects Estimation and quotation

Technical BIM manager at Arabtec Construction
  • United Arab Emirates - Dubai
  • January 2019 to December 2020

Our main scope was landscape zone C-38 including the water feature- underground utilities, with different traffic requirements (pedestrians/ light vehicles/ fire truck route) giving the complexity of design major modification has taken place to consider the exits- building levels
● I originated the BIM execution plan elaborating my company’s approach to satisfying the end-user requirements directed and coached the team to Deliver the fully integrated BIM Level 2 Model in The Project which supports different BIM uses such as 4D, 5D, ABS, sustainability, asset management, record model.
● I outpaced the productivity (quality and quantity) of technical submittal by removing duplication in tasks, delegating coordination tasks to the team, and identifying a clear scope for each individual.
● I cooperated with the QS team to validate the extra excavation quantities giving the required excavation slopes.
● I slashed the changes fees with suppliers, service providers based on contract terms which result in a reduction of fees up to 40% of the original Variation order value.
● I collaborated with conceptual designers and design consultants to forge a customized solution to overcome the project conditions/ solve the level coordination issues for such iconic projects.

Structural BIM coordinator and CUC Lead Engineer at Arabtec Construction
  • Bahrain - Manama
  • November 2016 to December 2018

In this project, We had 4 main items (CUC service building for utilities- Terminal building- viaduct and West Car park)
I had few challenges that we overcome such as base point difference for each building, old services underground that don’t have a model for it, but by combining the Civil 3D files for utilities and road with Revit 3D building files we could catch up with all the coordination issues, for viaduct we used the surface extracted from Civil 3D to align the precast structural elements in Revit to provide survey points to the site team to enhance the site execution:
● I established the troubleshooting process for all the Civil/Structural/Architectural issues.
● I supported the QS team by providing the Cut and Fill calculation by comparing the final model against the Survey surface model.
● I orchestrated weekly coordination meetings using 3D models with the design consultant which supported the understanding of constructability issues and expedited the shop drawings approval.
● I also engineered the LOD Specs that satisfied Engineer/client requirements for O&M using Maximo. Furthermore, I conceptualized and spearheaded the dependency of 3D models for technical team design review which had a tremendous value for the quality of all design team drawings.

Sr. BIM Engineer at Consolidated Contractors Group (offshore)
  • Egypt - Cairo
  • July 2016 to November 2016

Projects: Abu Dhabi Airport Project, Riyadh Rail, Dubai Opera, Abu Dhabi plaza towers, Qatar Faculty of Islamic studies, Lusail multipurpose hall.
● I composed and design structural and civil 3D BIM models including the arrival landside of Abu Dhabi Airport terminal.
● I coordinated the models of elevated/underground/on-grid stations of the Riyadh metro project during my work in the CCC-Cairo office.
● I teamed up with engineers from other departments for design coordination,
● I trained and mentored newly joined engineers and helped them to blend in the team harmony.
● I produced and extracted QS reports/ technical queries from Project design documents.
● I developed a model simulation to support safe site execution for complicated tasks such as removing burnt sliding formwork.
● Supported cost and BOQ comparison, alongside claim management.
