This role participates in remote technical support of IBM HW/SW and may include the following:
- Managing all UNIX services and applications, Power System Support.
- Provides overall support and maintenance of operating system and network connectivity for all AIX systems.
- Monitors system performance and solve performance issue if any to ensure adequate response times for production servers/applications.
- Establish and documents procedures to ensure data integrity including system fail-over and Backup/Recovery.
- Provides reliable backup services, Conducts routine HW and SW audits for AIX servers for compliance with established standards, Polices, Configuration guidelines and procedures.
- Implementing and troubleshooting different AIX solutions like Packages, LVM, NIM, Multibos, WPAR, Ifix/APAR, Upgrade/Migrate, and Booting issue.
- Dump analysis to know reasons for Servers Crash/Hangs.
- Analysis of Performance issues and give recommendations to solve this issue
- PowerVM implementation and troubleshooting.
- Deal with Multi-Pathing between VIOS and different Storage vendors Like IBM, EMC, and Hitachi.
- PowerHA implementation and troubleshooting.

General Administration tasks:
- Training New comes on AIX basics, Administration, and troubleshooting techniques for different issues.
- Customer care training based on relation between IBM and customers.
- Monitor some agent’s metrics and find solutions to push them meeting their targets.
- Time management training.
- Training on how to Maintaining highest client satisfaction.
