Solvay Alexandria Sodium Carbonate “Multinational Chemical Company.”
Position: Mechanical Maintenance Manager “Deputy Maintenance Manager.”
With the following Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares the annual budget and operational plans for the Engineering department, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategies, and submits to the CEO for final approval.
• Maintenance Budget following with maintenance indicators MTTR-MTBF.
• Establishes the Engineering Policies and Procedures manuals ensuring total compliance by all company employees. Also updates the manuals upon any occurring procedures/regulation change, and ensure comprehensive communication to the concerned parties.
• Sets the standards and performance measures (KPIs) for the Engineering department, and cascades it down to my direct reports and monitors their timely implementation, ensures the achievement of the set objectives.
• Manages activities concerned with the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems through performing day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors; planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
• Approves the technical documents, design drawing and calculations, outlets drawing submitted by Design Engineers, ensuring it is appropriately calculated and compliant to the required specifications.
• Ensures the implementation of the inspection process and reviews projects ensuring their total compliance to the company policies and procedures.
• Plan, schedule shutdown activities, duration and manpower estimating, prepare material, special tool and work procedure.
• Building up the Preventive Maintenance PM Program master plan.
• Scheduled planned maintenance programs and ensure that they are carried out in time and efficiently, Troubleshooting maintenance problems and solve the urgent trouble and tasks
• Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, supporting the policies, goals and objectives
• Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis and planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
• Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
• Establishes and maintains a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
• Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.
• Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated.
• Conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions.
• Maintains training for the maintenance department.
• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner.
• Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance.
• Maintains safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Communicates directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation requested by process, Issue and renew work permits as required for maintenance and repair work in assigned areas.

With the following duty and responsibilities:
•Plan, schedule shutdown activities, duration and manpower estimating, prepare material, special tool and work procedure.
•Building up the Preventive Maintenance PM Program master plan.
•Scheduled planned maintenance programs and ensure that they are carried out in time and efficiently, direct day to day maintenance and repair work including preventive and repair of pumps, KSB, Goulds, Seal less Pumps, screw pumps), Plat heat exchanger, stand roller Gear Box, Air Blower, cooling towers, fans air cooler, poly reactors.
•Troubleshooting maintenance problems and solve the urgent trouble and tasks requested by process, Issue and renew work permits as required for maintenance and repair work in assigned areas.
•Supervising and control mechanical maintenance activities of assigned personnel/ contractors including, Determining priorities, Allocating work, setting work schedules, Checking completed work as per weekly plan.
•Having good skills and applications for problems solving techniques (Fish bone, 5 why, Kiezen sheet, check sheet, Parito …)

With the following duty and responsibilities:
•Following preventive maintenance program.
•Preparing shut down job list, and making necessary checks before start up.
•Treatment with repeated problems with maintenance analysis way.
•Making history of all replacement of spare part for each machine
•Maintain different types of pumps- dynamic pumps (centrifugal and vertical pumps) and positive displacement (diaphragm, piston, rotary fan, screw, gear pump) - agitators, and vacuum pumps and hydraulic circuits.
