D. Worked at TAQ Logistics (Agents for DHL - DANZAS) from
January 1996 to September 2009 as Managing Director & Chief
Operating Officer.
1. The role and responsibilities comprised of achieving sales and operations
targets of the organization at country level. The position was responsible to
the Board of Directors & Chairman.
2. Managed a workforce of nine hundred (900) plus personnel. Number of
directly reporting officers of the rank of Regional Directors and General
Managers was 12. Regional Directors comprise of 9 (nine) branches
located in 8 cities of Pakistan and 1 (one) in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Company’s total turnover comprising of all products was about PKR 4.0
Billion.
3. Key objectives of the position:-
i. Achieving the sales / revenue targets of the organization (at all the
nine offices in eight cities of Pakistan along with one office at Kabul,
Afghanistan).
ii. Ensuring trouble free operations of the organization.
iii. Ensuring company’s policies are enforced and general

iv. Preparation of yearly financial budget keeping in view the changes

- International Comparison of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation.
- Container Handling at Port Qasim.
- Comparison of Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) and
Pan Islamic Steamship Company.
- Reconnaissance Study on Indus River Navigation.
- Gwadar Port Study - An Evaluation.
ii) Conducting Inter-Ministerial meetings between various Government
departments and Technical Experts of transport sector.
iii) Visiting abroad on government assignments to attend seminars and
government meetings.
iv) Worked with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), UNDP,
World Bank and Committee on ECO (For Central Asian Republics)
v) Worked on the 5 (five) Years Transportation Plan Studies of Pakistan.
vi) Provided recommendations and suggestions to Ministry of
Communications and Ministry of Commerce for the development of
trade.
