Highway Engineer at M/S Engineering Associates

 Kharian—Rawalpindi additional carriage project: -
Jointly leading a team of engineers, surveyors and quantity surveyors in supervision of remaining works of this mutli- million rupess project, which included bridges, over-head foot bridges, rehabilitation of existing road, the road furniture and all necessary traffic signs, gentry signs etc.

 Rehabilitation of wazirabad by-pass project:
This was about 28 km of existing road, which was rehabilitated. Up gradation of curve portions, widening of carriageway, provision of drainage, finally road furniture and access was also provided for local link roads. All these activities were supervised by me and a team of men including surveyors, material engineer, draftsman, quantity surveyor etc. under the guidance of client (National Highway Authority).

 Rehabilitation of turnoil- taxila road:
This was basically the widening and overlay of the existing road, extension of existing culverts and making few new drainage channels. Some portions needed complete repair works up to subgrade level. Provision of bus bays and bus stops. Raising of the median, improving the junctions and providing modern traffic signs etc.

Senior Site Inspector (highways and structures) at M/S Republic Engineering Cooperation

I was leading a team of surveyors, laboratory technicians (8 men) for the supervision of all road works and structure works in 10 kms area ( ayub park area). This included the construction of about 800 meters long reinforced concrete retaining wall, extension of existing culverts, median New Jersey barriers, protective side barriers etc. Also one overhead foot bridge (steel structure) was made in this area.
10 km of road works was made from embankment formation to black top.

 Kharian—Rawalpindi additional carriageway: -

This section was 62.5 km long. I was member of the supervision team of about 30 engineers, surveyors, and material engineers. The job included the construction supervision as per the drawings and specifications provided by the client (national highway authority). I have supervised the earth works (embankment formation), road structure layers and asphalt layers. Finally, the road furniture was carried out, which included road marking, traffic signs, cat eyes etc.

 Kharian-Rawalpindi additional carriageway project :-

This was a mega project of 188 km length, of national importance. The construction was carried out by National logistics cell (N.L.C.). As a site engineer I was given the task of road works. I had a team of 40 men of different categories. I was working directly under the road works manager. Making use of my C.P.M. knowledge, I was always giving good results. As part of my job, my position was of pivotal nature. Coordinating with different sections and consultants. I also made certain proposals during the construction, which were accepted by consultants and client. Some drainage works were added. U-turns / minor junctions were proposed.

Maintenance of different link roads: -

There were about 15 different link roads (farm to market roads), which were to be maintained / repaired by this contractor. Mostly over lay of D.S.T. was done, and earthen shoulders repaired.
My job was to estimate the quantities of different materials to be used at site, and then to get the job done. Also liaison with the client (provisional highway department) he total length of the project was about 40 kms.

Site Engineer at M/S S.M.Builders (pvt)

This was an internal road for a housing scheme. Total length was about 11 km. As a site engineer of this contractor, I surveyed the area and made benchmarks, before starting the actual work. We prepared the Subgrade over which water- bound macadam was placed. Finally T.S.T was done at the top. I also did quantity calculations. Finally, the handing over of the project to the client was done by me.
