DISSERTATION – Numerical and Experimental Investigation of Open Pool Fire and its Extinguishment Objective – CFD prediction of temperatures, surface emissive power & irradiance at relative distances in horizontal direction of pool rims and to investigate effectiveness of water mist in fire suppression along with combined experimental validation Modeling and analysis of open pool fires using FLUENT and FDS software Design of set-up and investigation on dependency of water-mist fire suppression system on spray characteristics with respect to fire scenario M. Tech. Seminar – Review of Water-mist fire Suppression System A review has been undertaken to identify future developments and potential efficacy improvements for water mist fire suppression systems
