My job at Four Rivers Food Stuff Trading, was in the position of "Business Development Manager(Horeca Division).
My duties and responsibilities includes:
Liasing with Executive Chefs and Purchase Heads of Hotels(Four seasons, Intercontinental hotels, Hyatt, Mondian Hotel, Banana Island to name a few), Catering companies such as Amwaj, Compass, Teyseer, Qatar Airways(qacc), QASSP ETC, to know their day to day requirements, finalising the orders and Lpos.
Negotiating the price and quantity required.
Help Company procurement, to book shipments based on the stocks in hand. Helping procurement with current market prices and trend .
Holding of stocks for contractual customers.
Sourcing of various Niche products such as Smoked Salmon from Scotland, Beef Bacon and other USDA meat cuts, Bresoula, Sun-dried tomatoes, Gherkins, Peeled tomatoes, Olive Oil, Frozen seafood (Shrimps, Lobsters, Squids, scallops, Oysters, Soft shell crabs, Tuna ETC to name a few).
Monthly and weekly targets for the team and guiding the team to achieve the same.
Training of the team members with the product they are dealing with.
Checking their sales call sheets.
Getting market feedback to know the market and pricing patterns.
Market research for procuring new products and brand.
Determining the purchase budget and sales budget.
Periodical appraisal of staff.
Liasing with store to ensure smooth delivery of good and services.
