Overall Purpose:
To ensure all plants’ products meet the Quality System Global standards and ensure the compliance with local legislation and regulatory rules for food safety in each country across the region ( SSEA- South & South East Asia). To monitor existing food quality and safety system and driving its continuous improvement. To support the certifications and audit (Internal/External) of the food Quality system of all plants in South & Southeast Asia (SSEA). To support innovation projects and promote the sustainable growth and profitability of SSEA’s regional business.

Main accountabilities (Main Responsibilities):

1. Monitor current products situation (list of products, specifications, processes, risks), drive concrete and realistic continuous improvement for these products, taking into consideration the asset’s constraints (layout, competitiveness) and the commercial strategy.
2. Directs the resources and activities of plants across SSEA to support the Quality systems process by providing advice and guidance to all plants.
3. Review internal Quality systems policies and practices to ensure they are current and appropriate and conduct assessments to the Quality system of all plants to make recommendations to improve.
4. Establish and conduct the food safety and quality control systems, procedures, in-process quality control standards, inspection methodologies and continual improvement
5. Manage and optimize internal and external quality resources for compliance, high agility, good performance and cost saving
6. Responsible for the development of an annual budget, recommendations and implementation for SSEA’s quality system process and actively participate in the regional food safety workshops to review the performance and policies.
7. Propose and carry out industrial counterpart on food innovation projects, bring industrial expertise and help to investigate new products for the food industry.
8. Develop to the assessment of internal or external opportunities in the food innovation field.
9. Direct the Plants on the following points: (Quality management systems, ISO/TS certifications, Document control, Customer special requirements, Internal and external audits).

Projects & Achievement

• Successful reducing Bleaching Earth usage from 10kg/MT to 8kg/MT by harmonizing customer specification and improving ring test procedure. September 2019-December 2019.
• Successfull establishment on mitigation procedure of reducing 3MCPD as Palm oil contaminant to comply EU regulation.
