Self-employed as a Freelance ICT Consultant (Accounts, Pre-sales, Post sales and Projects management) since Jan. 2015 delivering consultancy for my clients (ICT & System Integrators), who are running projects in Iraq with a governmental and nongovernmental customers, in the fields of :
- The plan, management, oversight and close tracking of the delivery of ICT projects and support services contracted with their Iraq-based clients,
- The direct management of the client’s liaison as the Senior Operational Point of Contact throughout managed project’s phases and contracted support’s agreed SLAs activities signed
- Developing business, sales plans and strategies within Iraq (and other Middle East markets) to reach my partners targets and goals set for the area, maintain and expand a customer base, hunt for and chaise new business opportunities, plus set sales targets for individual reps. and team as a whole and monitor their performance,
• Snr. Projects manager for more than nine large-scale ICT projects within Kurdistan province, for the beneficiary of regional leading clients (regional Telecom. & ISPs as well as global Oil @Gas companies),
• Regional IT Service Manager leading the IT support services provided to Newroz Tele., Korek Tele. and Nokia Siemen Global, companies working within Kurdistan-Iraq region,
Job role: “Accounts, Pre-Sales & IT Manager” -Iraq Office
Roles/responsibilities undertaken and chievements;
- Developing business: Starting with the full atomization of all processes / procedures running within the enterprise including deploying a new CRM system & Renault Trucks dealership management system (software) as a new business support applications, beside the monitoring and evaluating of the potential local market opportunities focusing on market and client development, directing business development resources and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Client Relations: Acted as the main POC during bids process, projects scope development, clients and project management meetings, ensure positive and open relationship with clients,
- Proposal Development: Responsible for proposal development and project estimation.
- Contract Management: Ensure that each contract is reviewed, all requirements are communicated to the project team and all contract requirements are executed.
• Electrical & electronics systems installations/maintenance/projects management, including deployment of different ELV systems as well as small to large scale UPS systems installation / maintenance,
• Mainframe computer systems and Minicomputer systems installation and maintenance support services (chief of engineering of a number of installation /maintenance teams
• Supervision/leading of networking engineering teams to implement a medium -to- large scale LAN deployments within a number of SMB IT projects and hotels business centers,
• Supervising IT staff, projects management, working with clients, and acting as a resource.
• Resolve daily issues and work staff to improve customer service.
• Responsible for project management, project planning, creating time lines, organizing regular meetings, working with contractors, and keeping large teams on track.
- A minicomputers systems (ICIM DRS6000) senior system engineer, member of installation/maintenance teams assigned for the engineering support within a number of governmental projects /ministries,
- Mainframe “ICL” computer systems and their peripherals, installation and maintenance support services (as a member of an Iraqi- British joint support team) providing their specialist installation /post sale services within a number of governmental projects/ministries,
- Other large/medium size ELV (Extra Low Voltage ) systems deployment as part of large data centers site preparations, within a governmental owned projects,
- Lecturing in the following training courses;
• LAN, MAN, WAN fundamentals and Architectures,
• Communication protocols X21, X22, X24 & X25, TCP/IP, ..other protocols,
• The fundamentals and best practices in Computer's Hardware/Software maintenance operations,
• Intel & Motorola Microprocessors architectures and LLDs,
Note: The former (NECC) - Iraqi Ministry of Planning, was the highest governmental technical reference institute (for strategic planning & Standardization) for governmental & non-governmental computer Data centers in Iraq during the former 70s, 80s & 90s of last century,
Direct the maintenance operations and procedures within the center to maintain various electronic systems, appliances and other ELV instruments
Studying electrical/electronics and communication engineering science as well as computers architecture & fundamentals
